About the Artist
Rodney Hawkins (aka Krooked) started pursuing hip-hop performing in local talent shows. It didn't take him long to grab the attention of a hot rap coalition from Chicago called Da Kamp. He teamed up with female rapper Kase (Ke-sera) for several tracks on two compilation albums. The 2 albums combined sales exceded 50,000 copies. The mad buzz surrounding Da Kamp allowed Krooked to open for Jay-Z, Big Pun, Noreaga, Monifah, Too Short, E-40, Twista, Crucial Conflict and Psychodrama. Krooked signed with Somnimage for his first solo full length in late 2000. Krooked's hard work shows in this release and we are sure you will be hearing much more from this exciting artist in the future.
