Tombstones On My Mind.......2007-05-14
Skee 64 Oz makes an appearance with Mr. Immaculate and COS on the heated track, 'Now What'. Dope, slow and dark beat made by Brotha Lynch Hung. One of the top 5's on this album.
My favorite song is 'Hungry Man's Syndrome' featuring the Swartzaniggas and Loki. This song is heated, produced by Phonk Beta and Brotha Lynch, not only is the beat wicked the verses come fresh as well. I was hoping for a more cannibalistic frame of mind due to the title, but the hunt for cash is always relevant. Sicx and Tall Cann come the sickest, with Fig Nay not far behind. Loki also makes an appearance, but only the usual mediocre performace is to be expected from him. This track would also mark one of the last Sicx verses recorded before his indefinite stay in prison.
The most popular track, 'R U Ready?' featuring Brotha Lynch Hung, is also a banger. Produced by Xfactor, the beat and lyrics meld well like blunts and honey.
'Walk, Ride and Die' is almost classic, with another heavy hitter from Xfactor. It almost sounds like a classic 92' beat you'd have heard as a YG, drinking a 40 and smoking a Newport. Its got that ridin' and dumpin' kind of feel.
I'd recommend listening to these songs before buying if you have anys doubts. I think this will change your mind.
Fig Naytion is no longer with Sickmade, but is not necessarily on bad terms with them as of now, but check his newer album 'Product of The Streetz' if your a big fig fan. This album is pretty good, not a classic like 'Dead 4 Life/If These Walls Could Talk' or 'Psycho Active/Xorcist', but problably up there in the low double digits. His style is a little unchanging, but in most (not all) songs its pretty chill. Recommended.
