5 out of 5 stars THE REAL UNTOUCHABLES.. TRU.......2006-09-29

when tru dropped no one knew what hit them, the miller bro's run this rap game dont ever question that.

5 out of 5 stars ALL-TIME BAY AREA NO LIMIT CLASSIC!!!!!.......2005-08-01

THIS IS SOME OF THE BEST ISHHHHH TA COME OUT THE BAY BACK IN THE EARLY 90'S. ALL THE NO LIMIT RELEASES BETWEEN 88 AND 98 WERE CLASSICS UNTIL THEY CHANGED UP TO A FAKE ARTIFICIAL FORMAT IN 2000 WITH THE NEW NO LIMIT BULL ISHHHHH!!!!! ANYONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE THIS IN THEY COLLECTION NEEDS TO SNATCH IT. THIS IS SOME SUPER RAW MASTER P MUSIC. AFTER LISTENING TO THIS ALBUM FOR PEOPLE JUST HEARING THIS TODAY IN 2005 INSTEAD IN 1992, YOU'RE GONNA BE LIKE WHAT THE F*** HAPPENED TO MASTER P NOWADAYS????? HE DEFINITELY HAD HIS OWN TREND AND STYLE UNTIL HE STARTED FOLLOWING THE CROWD. HE WAS TOO BLIND TO SEE IT I GUESS. I'LL STILL ALWAYS BE A NO LIMIT FAN BUT NOT A NEW NO LIMIT FAN. I LIKE NO LIMIT RECORDS WHEN IT WAS THE TANK LOGO WAAAAAY BEFORE THEY CHANGED THE TANK LOGO TO FACE TO THE RIGHT. ANYWAYS THIS ALBUM BROUGHT BACK MEMORIES TO THEM TIMES OF 1992. TIME FLEW BY SO QUICK. BUT FOR THOSE OF Y'ALL WHO THOUGHT NO LIMIT STARTED OFF IN THE DIRTY SOUTH YOU WRONG. NO LIMIT RECORDS STARTED IN 1988 IN RICHMOND, CALIFORNIA. THE CITY WHERE T.R.U. REALLY STARTED. REST IN PEACE TO BIG ED WHO'S ALSO ON HERE AS HE LAID SOME CLASSIC RAW LYRICS ON HERE. ALL THE PEOPLE ON T.R.U. BACK IN THESE DAYS MOSTLY DON'T RAP ANYMORE EXCEPT MASTER P, C-MURDER, AND SILKK. SOME OF THESE PEOPLE IN THEY GROUP DIDN'T RAP AND WAS JUST FOLKS. BUT THERE ARE CERTAIN ARTISTS THAT WERE ONLY FEATURED ON CERTAIN T.R.U. ALBUMS. MISSING FROM THIS T.R.U. ALBUM IS KING GEORGE, CALLI-G, AND MILKMAN. T.R.U. ACTUALLY FELL OFF AFTER "TRU 2 DA GAME" BUT REALLY FELL OFF AFTER THEY GOT RID OF MOST OF THE T.R.U. MEMBERS. BUT MASTER P SHOULD HAVE KEPT ALL THE ORIGINAL NO LIMIT ARTISTS PERIOD LIKE THE ORIGINAL T.R.U., LIL RIC, DANGEROUS DAME, SONYA C, BIG ED BEFORE HE DIED, CHILEE POWDAH, MILKMAN. IF HE WOULD OF KEPT ALL THEM WITH ALL THIS RAWNESS HE HAD BACK THOSE DAYS, HE PROBABLY WOULD OF BEEN THE NEXT N.W.A. ON THE WEST COAST. BUT HE MADE HIMSELF FALL OFF WITH THE MISTAKES HE MADE AND I DEFINITELY AGREE WITH THE OTHER PERSON WHO SAID HE SHOULDA JUST RETIRED FROM MAKING ALBUMS AT "MP DA LAST DON" BECAUSE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HIS LAST AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN. OH WELL, CAN'T CHANGE TIMES BUT TOO BAD MASTER P LET THE TIMES CHANGE HIM.

5 out of 5 stars REAL NO LIMIT.......2005-06-16

Now days there isn't such a thing as 'no limit', its a wack watered down thats been fu@ked up version since around 96 or 97 thats gone way past its limits and just fails i think. This was a tight album and the lyrics are haaaard. I like ea-ski's flow and his 92 album which you should check out too. but everyone else on here is good too. Master P gets enough respect from me, I like the way he went out there and funded his equipment and made sure he done whatever he could to make it. And when he started getting money from records too he started putting it in with his other money(!?!) and straight invested in no limit and equipment. He really knew how to hustle and has brains. But anyway, I like his beats too, he has a lot of flavour and makes nice melodies or uses the best samples if needing samples and just makes some tight tight beats. The lyrics are real and a lot of people can relate to this, it's no party anthem or 'here come the boys' hooty hoo s#it. Strictly for real raw heads. Anyway, If you smart, you probably got this already and rate it good. Unless you are some rich a@s Fa@@ot or someone who lives in a fairy tale place where nothing goes on except for mail not coming on time you will probably criticise what you don't understand. But if you don't have it, pick it up cos it's going to be impossible to find soon and you will miss what this label was all about when they kept it REAL! Peace!

1 out of 5 stars A Miscalculated Obeisance to Friml.......2003-11-06

A "Tru" understanding of consequentialist rodomontade necessitates nonparticipation in this sort of epicene satrapy. "Tru" (who was born Barney Poofter and hails from Prince William Sound) attempts a totally unironic, ersatz Wienerschnitzel gemuetlicheit in this, his sophomore effort. He fails miserably to connect with his intended audience. Those days of wine and roses are gone, my friend, to return no more. Get with the program, Mr. Clueless: Rap is where it's at--and the more "G" it is, the better! Hardcore, no limit, raw and uncut...that's what the young kids want. But Mr. Tru-ly Clueless persists in trying to tempt his homeys with visions of lilac-scented damsels and tedious disquisitions on the minutiae of ballroom etiquette. Talk about being out of touch! When will this silly person wake up and realize it's all about bobbysox and smoky saxophones and accenting the upbeat and mastering that cool hepcat lingo?

If you guys want the real deal, I suggest you check out Dick Hyman's new CD. It's totally AWESOME!!!

4 out of 5 stars TRU the original.......2003-09-07

This album is real raw but you see where it all starts. I wonder what happened to all the people featured on this album.
