At Rah Digga's best, ripping lines on her single "Tight" or showering you with disrespect on "Straight Spittin', Part II," she recalls a young MC Lyte--before her lipstick and rouge phase--a street-smart tomboy with the right blend of talent and attitude to hold her own. It doesn't hurt that Digga's blessed with one helluva voice--a coarse, rough-hewn flow that's strong enough for a man, but made by a woman. Little wonder that she throws her lot in with the roughnecks, but wisely avoids most (though not all) of the standard thug clichés. Production--handled by an assortment of producers, including Busta Rhymes, DJ Premier, and Rockwilder--is consistently strong, especially on cuts like "Lessons of Today," "Tight," and even the crossover pitch "So Cool," with crooner Carl Thomas. Her time with the lackluster Flipmode Squad is best forgotten--let Digga stand on her own. --Oliver WangCustomer Reviews:

RAW DIGGA!.......2006-08-11
"First and only female ummatched by anyone".......2006-04-06
By far the most distinguished voice in hip-hop (male or female), Rah Digga has a formula that is indescribable and undeniable, she proves that though her voice may not match the high (and sometimes annoying) pitches of her fellow female rapstars, her voice utters hardcore w/ every syllable she spits.
Digga chose Dirty harriet as the name of this classic compilation because like slave-icon Harriet Tubman, she plans to free people from a stand-still existence. Rah Digga does just that w/ widening mouthes, opening ears, and bring true hip-hop fans to their knees with this one.
I've notived that alot of reviewers of this album often comment on the production and how it doesn't suit a mainstream hip-hop artist. The world 'album' entails an engulfing of many different things, and if you know real hip-hop, you know that real hip-hop is based far more on lyrics than production.
I can't begin to compare to any female in the rap game because Digga stands solo on a plateau of her own. This rugged, thugged femcee is the true epitome of keeping it gangsta and I feel that she far underrated (Her music is even more pleasing than most of the males).
I've given this album 5 stars because of its originality, sadistic flow, endless creativity, and Rah Digga's authentic aura. Stand out tracks: Break Fool, Curtains, Imperial, Straight Spittin' Part II, F**k Ya'll N**gas, Do The ladies Run This, and of course, Harriet Thugman.
