About the Artist
Poochie was born on April 24,1987 in Johannesburg South Africa under the name Ashante McNamara. In his early years, Poochie grew up surrounded by African music and dance. He was thus influenced by the true roots of the hiphop culture. At the age of six months he could sing songs. His father, a musician and an accomplished recording engineer, was traveling in Africa and working with many talented African artists such as Ladysmith Black Mambaso, Brenda Fassi, Lucky Dube and Stimella (who played and toured with Paul Simon on" Graceland") It's easy to see how Poochie got his roots under these circumstances. Since then He has traveled extensively and lived in England, Florida and now lives in Colorado. Poochie started performing at an early age in the children's theater companies and dance troupes. He also started writing songs and poetry almost from the time he could talk. During 1999 (at the age of 13) wrote preformed and produced his debut Album "The Ultimate." In 2000 he accomplished a second album "the rebel without a pause" which will be out in stores soon! This is the phatest album EVER!
I dont know why some people who reviewed this cd dont like it.
OBVIOUSLY they dont what real rap is....poochie!
I love every song on this and I will buy every album poochie ever makes.
He is the dopest rapper to hit the scene in a long time.
And for 14 he makes some sweet rhymes and tight music.
I hope you will all go and buy it now so u can see what I mean.

poochie rebel without a cause [stinks].......2001-09-02

Ok, I got this cd for free and the only reason i took it was because it looked so funny i didn't think it could be serious. I was wrong. Apparently Poochie is serious about his music. Which is really too bad, because it [stinks]. Alot. Usually i think that bad music is funny but this is so bad that it isnt funny at all. This kid looks like he is about 14 or 15. It seems like every song on here is about Poochie "being back" Almost all of these songs have very stupid intros and the music sounds like it was made on a keyboard. It is very cheesey. Seriously poochie, you should just give up. This cd shouldn't even get 1 star it should get 0 but that isnt an option.
