I THOUGHT THIS CD WAS OFF THE HOOK. THE LYRICS, THE MUSIC, THE CONTENT WAS ON HIT. AS A WOMAN IN HER LATE FORTIES I HAVE BEEN AROUND LISTENING TO MUSCIC SINCE THE 50'S. I AM A FAN OF ALL TYPES OF MUSIC. RAP, R&B, TOP 40, JAZZ, BLUES, AND CAJUN. THIS CD RATES RIGHT UP THERE AT THE TOP WITH SOME OF THE GREATEST. EARTH, WIND AND FIRE, THE GAP BAND, KOOL AND THE GANG, SUGAR HILL AND MANY MORE. IT HAS FLAVOR FROM ALL OF THE MUSCIC GROUPS, MOSTLY RAP, SOME R&B AND SOME TOP FORTY. THE BLENDS OF THE SINGERS/RAPPERS IS SIMPLY AWESOME. I LOVE ALL OF THE CUTS ESPECIALLY UNDER 21 AND LIVING THE LIFE OF A HUSTLER. EVERYONE FROM 18 TO 80 COULD GET SOME ENJOYMENT FROM THIS CD. IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT YOU SHOULD RUN OUT AND GET IT. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THEIR NEXT RELEASE. I HAPPENED TO BE ABLE TO ATTEND THERE CD RELEASE PARTY IN AKRON OHIO AND MONEYTRAINS LIVE SHOW WAS JUST AS AWESOME AS THIS FIRST CD. I am on the tail end of generation x, and I have listened to the 'Money Train' cd. This cd is exciting and refreshing, and in contrast to some of the other 'money oriented' rappers, (not withstanding their moniker). I enjoy rap music, and although my tastes have matured, I still enjoy a nice strong beat and meaningful lyrical content. Many of todays rappers tend to lose their audience when they talk about 'extravangances' that the ordinary joe purchasing their cds cannot enjoy. However, "Money Train's" music is agreeable to a broad spectrum of age groups, from 12-60+. Money Train is definitely a cd I would recommend purchasing. The first time you listen to it, the old school beats, underscored by the soulful r&b vocals, the powerful message from the rapper who had 'street experience' (money) and the knowledgeable and earthy throated ('nitetrain') are reminiscent of the old 'Krs One,' and 'Public Enemy' groups. Those were rap artists who delivered a serious message that deserved to be taken into deep thought. The dance beats, rhythm and blues connotations,and hip hop tempo automatically sinks into ones psyche. All I want to know is how and where do I catch this train! "All Aboard!"
