Jack Light Move is the essence of poetry in motion. JLM's music connects deep into the heart and soul of every listener and opens up one's stream of consciousness to a new level of original music. Inspiration comes from a spontaneous variety of funk, acid jazz, hip-hop, and groove. All walks of life may pleasurably witness the careful enthusiasm and vibrant aura that Jack Light Move brings to live performance.

Jack Light Move has a unique way of feeding off the energy of the crowd. This trait was carried on since our beginnings at Lehigh University. Now residing outside of Philadelphia, JLM's presence has been felt up and down the east-coast as well as local hot spots in Philly. With a strong work ethic and chemistry, Jack Light Move continues to grow and mature without bound. Keeping pace with advancements in technology and communication is a key to the bands' growth and expansion. The bands' mission, as always, is to deliver a high standard of live music and entertainment.

Jack Light Move has shared the stages with the likes of The Mighty Mighty Bostones, G-Love and Special Sauce, Moe, The Cherry Poppin' Daddies, The Samples, and many other great bands.

Intelligent classical "pops" for lighter moods........2000-11-08

The "Light Music Classics" series on Hyperion, one of the highest-quality classical music labels around, has been a very pleasant surprise for me. Let's face it: some days you're just not up to the challenge of listening to Beethoven or Bruckner -- you're just looking for some light, fun, but intelligent music to enrich your day. That's where this excellent and highly popular series comes in.

Twenty compositions are featured on Vol. 3, written by various British masters of light orchestral music including Eric Coates, Ernest Tomlinson, and Haydn Wood. All of the pieces are six minutes or under; all are skillfully composed and well-played by Ronald Corp and his orchestra, who know how to give this undemanding but highly entertaining music just the right touch -- not too heavy, not too frivolous. Plus, the disc is quite generously filled at 78 minutes and change.

As usual, most of the pieces have tunes you'll be humming after you first hear them -- many have been used as signature pieces on British radio and television shows over the years. While I don't feel this volume has as many winning tunes as Vol. 1 or Vol. 2, it's still highly entertaining and an excellent value. This has turned into one of Hyperion's most popular series and it's not hard to understand why: it fills a niche for intelligent light music.

This cd is completely hot. If you are fan of funk, reggae, soul, or just amazing live music then you must buy this cd, go see them live, do whatever you have to do!! Lyrically and musically one of the tightest cd's I have in my collection...

Unbelievably Funky first album!.......2000-07-25

What a find! This philadelphia based band is amazing! A definitly original genre, this disc (and this band) will soon be a huge hit across the country. Check out their website for yourself, but these guys are going places. And its no surprise their music is catching on! From the very funky Jattascratch to the almost hip-hop-phishy Milk Truck, you've got to hear these guys play. My favorite track, Wait Here then Scream, is a musical masterpiece, and the final remix of Who Dat is technically incredible! Keep the good times coming! Nice work JLM.

Think George Clinton funk teamed with the sweet reggae style of Bob Marley-- mix in some hip-hop and rock and that is the awesome sound of Jack Light Move.

Yet, this band has a sound all their own. An ecliptic beat that moves beyond their influences and gives them their own unique sound.

This is a band with so much going for them that the world has not even begun to comprehend what they are going to do to the music scene. This is an album to throw on at a party and let everyone experiece the awesome talent these guys have.

This is happy music. JLM shows lots of eclectic influences, from funk to Dead-and the mix works well. I've seen the band live, and their energy really comes through on this disc.
