Love's Armada is lemurific.......2003-11-01

the Two-disc Comp represents some of the best tracks from Tummy Touch.
the first disk(mixed by Tom findlay of groove armada) is more upbeat and funky, while the second (mixed by Tim love lee) is on the broken downbeat of things. Both discs please the ear to the extreme. Beatiful textures and beatiful beats from beautiful minds.

hey ive been listening to luke for 13 years now hes the king of porn rap and the best beats and bass this cds is awesome like all his cds get this and all lukes solo stuff u go luke

In the Nude is old school rap and it is outdated.......2000-06-17

Luke really messes up with in the nude because the music is from 1993. 7 year old rap is very exstinct and it shows. The album cover is very explicit judging by it's title. The music is slow paced and there's no real music to be found. Luke wastes his talent by rapping not very rapidly, very slow paced. The whole album is taken in slow amounts. It is not a classic I suggest you buy the The Wu-Tang collection instead a much better rap group then Luke

I have to express my deepest regrets that I can not give this album 5 stars I used to be (and to some extend still am) a major Eat static fan and worshipped every single bass drum they programmed, and by the gods I tried with this also......

Now don't get me wrong "In the nude" actually contains some really nice material, it's just that they don't seem to fit together. All past Eat static releases have had this fullfillment experience included, like a story being told from start to finish. (The alien triology especially comes to mind, while Crash and burn showed the world where the band has it's roots- in psykedelia )This time it's a bunch of very varied tracks, some of them extremly retro sounding, just being randomed and it annoys me a bit. There is no higher meaning anymore.

Still if you are new to Eat static I guess it's a good introduction to the varied stiles they have passed through during the years. But from an aestethic point of view it's cernaintly not their best.

However there are standouts, "Temponaut", "Mandrake" and "Follow that camel" being the ones.....

WOW! This alblum rocks! What a follow up to CRASH & BURN. They are peakin! Joie & Merv formerly of Ozric Tentacles Rule.
I have been listening to Eat Static since I first heard them on FEED YOUR HEAD vol 1. They did some very psychedelic techno in their early days of the band. I always liked their music alot. When Crash & Burn came out it seemed so different from the rest. A new sound with new levels never losing their trademark sound.
They added guitar on some songs which just completed it for me. Then "In The Nude" alblum came out and solidified The pure genius of Eat Static. TEMPONAUT alone is worth the price. OUR MAN IN NIRVANA starts off with just blistering guitar and then brings you back to a techno finish.
Old and new EAT STATIC is truly a force in electronic music today!
