This record was made for the hip hop world to step up and take notice of Police brutality at its worst. Amadou Diallo shot 41 times, black man, unarmed, no real reason. These rappers step up and take a stand. The known and popular rappers include Black Star, Rah Digga, Common, Pharoahe Monch, Dead Prez and Posdnous from De La Soul. They, along with other known underground rappers, address Amadou Diallo, solutions, knowledge, and facts. There's really nothing else I can say, it just must be experienced. A real hip hop fan should possess a copy. A very important record.

this is a solid choice with a lot of outstanding voices. If you like east coast rap. pick it up. the edited lyrics are a bit obnoxious at times though. I took off a star for that.

This CD features lots of great artists, with great lyrics. The words really stood out to me, because they apply to a real life situation. The beats are awesome. The fact that this CD was made for a good a cause shows that still are some talented artists that use their fame in a good way. Its $$ well spent!

Good Music For A Good Cause.......2000-05-31

It's nice to see artists use the money from an album to go towards a good cause. Police brutality is a terrible thing and it must come to an end. All of the tracks here feature nice lyrics from the likes of Mos Def, Talib Kweli, J-Live, Common, Rah Digga, Channel Live, El-P, etc. The production isn't bad either, and "A Tree Never Grown" probably stands out the most. The only problem with this EP is that none of the tracks seem to work like other anti-police brutality tracks such as "Sound Of Da Police." Otherwise, this EP is excellent. R.I.P. to Diallo.

This is one of the first songs I heard that really got me into the current hip hop scene. Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch, Rah Diggah, Common and others! You just can't beat that line up when it comes to true hip hop. This is a great single that I'd recommend for any hip hop fan.
