Editorial Reviews
The Storytellers Five different Christian music groups (The Lordz Ambassador, Sons of God, Brothers Inc. 4 da Lord, Brother E., POW) representing diverse ethnic backgrounds and denominations. The exciting merging of Be-Bop and Hip-Hop , creating what we call Hip Bop along with hard-hitting Spoken-word The Storytellers. A blending of music, lyrics and powerful stories. No fiction, no fairy tales.......just rated Real stories that are disturbing, provoking, and incredibly inspirational. Under the direction of Reverend Joseph Henry Cortese, co-pastor of the Crossroads Tabernacle, Bronx NY,The Storytellers was birthed out of the desire to reach and communicate to inner city youth who are not drawn to conventional church outreach efforts. As a result, during the Fall 1997 Pastor Cortese invited several Hip Hop ministries to form an alliance with his ministry, The Upper Room Music Company, and formed The Storytellers. Since then, The Storytellers have made presentations at citywide events, street corners, concerts, as well as numerous churches throughout New York City. BAND_MEMBERS: Rappers:

Gotta Get It!.......2000-02-12
It took me a while to listen to the CD because it belonged to my dad (51 yrs). One day, I was at my parent's house and I decided to play it and let me tell you, I have been blessed ever since. Not only have I listened to the slammin' hip-hop tracks and revealing testimonies, but I have seen the various artists perform live. Not only are they great live, but they actually live a life that corresponds to what they sing and rap about in their songs. How many artists can you say that about? Yeah, not enough.
I like Hip-Hop, but I am personally tired of hearing people rap about how much sex they have, how much money they make, how many cars they own, how many people they shot, and how many women are waiting for them after the concert. Storytellers brings you Hip-Hop with an actual message. The message is of the Truth of our Lord. He is tried, tested and true. You need to recognize that nobody can do you like Jesus does.
So, absent from me actually buying the CD for you, I highly recommend that you get this CD. As a matter of fact, please stop reading this review and quickly buy The Storytellers: No Fairy Tales CD.
