Customer Reviews:
Sit back and enjoy life.......2004-01-30
Bobby Gaylor's cd may not be for the light hearted, but deep down this is one of arts true masterpieces. Each track (story) will engross you in a new way, whether you can relate or not. You find yourself laughing at the humor and gasping at the intensity. Bobby's voice never fails to deliver a completely mesmerizing experience, whether he is talking about when a gun was pointed at his face in a resturant, or about his old neighborhood "friend." If you enjoy anything related to this piece at all, buy it for the cheap price that it is going for and prepare to be shoked at how much you liked this dollar cd!
Mysterious Artist, Mysterious Album.......2003-12-10
When this CD came out in 2000 I heard the song, "Suicide", and loved it with all of my being. It took me months to track down this CD, but I finally got it and listened to it, each and every song (or track I don't really think you can call them songs) was delivered with enough humor and seriousness to keep the audience intrigued and listening to his moving tales. What has surprised me over the years, is the complete lack of attention Bobby Gaylor has recieved for his perfect album. What is even more interesting is that Babby Gaylor, after finishing what little promotion he did for this album, has completely fallen off the map. He has done a few movies (under the name Robert Gaylor) and 2 new Christmas songs that can only be downloaded, but other then that there has been nothing. His website (www.bobbygaylor.com) has gone without and update since 2001 with promise of new material coming soon. All of this to say that Bobby Gaylor is a mysterious artist who put out this mysterious album, in which every track makes a connection with the audience. Buy this album! you'll be glad you did.
BEST!.......2003-01-28
I love this cd, his origonal style is just magnificent. He is a great, great storyteller, I had often found myself on the edge of my seat waiting for what he will say next. I recomend this to anyone and everyone
You MUST Hear What Bobby Has to Say!.......2002-04-08
There are many times in life where we say "this is a great song/cd" , many many time. Well ....this is the ULTIMATE time when we must say this. The lyrics of this song touch your soul in the areas that you completely forget that they existed! With this cd you can laugh you can cry and the most importand you can FELL! If you havent listened to this cd (or at least the "suicide song" , BELIEVE ME , YOU MISS OUT. Every time , I hear it , EVERY TIME, i feel the same ....ALIVE
painful... extremely painful.......2001-11-26
it's like when you were little and watching TV with your parents, and the sitcom topic turns to sex. you feel embarrassed to be there, though it's clearly not your fault. reminiscent of maybe baz luhrmann, or henry rollins' spoken word stuff, except that luhrmann just plain ..., and rollins is at least poignant and intelligent. plus, gaylor's voice has this awful 'tough-guy posturing' character to it. a blatantly poor release for the uninspired "something-different" crowd. this disc hurts me. please make it stop.
