Great CD - the Demenga brothers at the top of their game.......2003-12-09

If you don't know about the music represented on this double CD, it's music commissioned as an homage for Paul Sacher, a patron of the arts from Basel, Switzerland, I think? Many top-name 20th century composers wrote for this celebration of his 70th? birthday, and I believe it was originally the idea that Rostropovich would play all this music (it's all for solo cello, except for the Boulez which is 7 cellos)...he's ended up playing some of it, I think, but not all. Most if not all of this music is based on the tone row eSACHERe (es is E-flat in German, and Re is D in solfege). Anyway, this is interesting music with a lot to offer, played superbly by Patrick and Thomas Demenga. Pick this up if you like cello and 20th century music. Maybe not the greatest thing to start with if you know nothing about 20th century music, but it's very unique stuff, and you might like it, you never know. Very highly recommended.

The electro/avantgarde bands Die Form provide (once again) that are a great band of our days.This album and Extremum are the best albums of Die form in my opinion.This album is a re-released of the same album at Trisol.Sado/maso,electro and avantgarde.Please buy it!

The numskullz are phat as hell I have this cd and im telling you, you will love it. there beats are great and the from my home town. trust me you wont be disapointed if u buy this

Numskullz have been around for a while and have finally hit us with their album. They possess a unique sound with some dope beats. There is a cohesive vibe that jels this album together with beats that contain wonderful depth giving the MC Rola the oppurtunity to express himself eloquently. Rola is definitely a very underrated MC and Numskullz is an underrated group.
