Another Wu banger.......2006-11-18

To do a very long review on this album I'll be beatin' on a dead horse. All the other reviewers hit the major points. Lyrically this may be the best of Ghost's albums. The features help out alot to. I can't really point out any specific tracks. This whole album is good. beats and lyrics. Get this if you don't got it.

Ghostface Killah - Surpeme Clientele.......2006-11-13

Four long years after his classic debut, Ghostface Killah returns with his sophomore effort, "Supreme Clientele" in 2000. Ghost is arguably one of the top lyrically skilled rappers in the Wu-Tang Clan and he proved that on his debut and on both Wu-Tang albums, "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)" and "Wu-Tang Forever." But it's rarely seen that a rapper can always be consistent and they at least put out one or more weak albums in their career, so will Ghostface suffer from the sophomore jinx or will he dominate another album with the raw production and his crazy lyrical ability?

Ghostface does it once again! Another great album from one of the Wu-Tangs elite! He lyrically murders almost every track not to mention the production is top notch on all but a few of them as well. Ghostface is a very skilled and consistent rapper up to this point, if your're a fan of raw New York hip hop, then definitely check this banger out!

this is my favorite ghostface slbum. it has a geat vibe to the cd and you could not get sick of hearing it. check it out and you wont be dissapointed.

1999, The Wu was in a huge slump. A lot of sub medicore records were being released to aim at commercial status, but failed miserably. In early 2000, Ghostface Killah releases his second album "Supreme Clientele" with wrath of fury, creating good result, and possibly saved the Wu Tang Clan from falling off.

When has Ghostface Killah dissapoint lyrically? Never. Songs like "One" and "Appolo Kids" shows that his lyrics are on point through out this album. What I like about his rhyme style (unlike everyone else from the Wu except The Genius) is that he stays consistant, but at the same time, never overshadows himself, like on the song "Ghost Deni". The guests do a good job on this album also. Two of my favorite songs here are "Buck 50" with Method Man, Redman, and Cappadonna; as well as the Wu posse track "Wu Banga 101" with GZA, Rae, Cappadonna, and Masta Killah. They all go a good job on the songs, but Ghostface doesn't allow them to outshine him (by spitting two verses in each song, while everybody else gets one). Also he introduces his new group TMF (now called Theodore Unit) with good friend Trife (Da God) on a few tracks.

Many short songs on this album and pointless skits (such as "Who Would You F***") is the only reason why this album doesn't get a 10. But 21 tracks deep and many up banging songs, this album doesn't fail (unlike many Wu albums released in '99/2000 era). Basically Ghostface brought back life into Wu's dying legacy on this album at that time. I recommend this to Wu fans who want to hear a late 90's version of how they were rhyming back in the early days. It's highly enjoyable.

You cant debate the best solo Wu album with out this classic set of songs not being brought up. RZA and Ghostface go together like penutbutter and jam, brothers from another mother you could say. Thats who produced most of it. Thats not the only chemicals that go good together on this brillant cd, there is not a waist of a guest verse, whith cameos from GZA, Redman, Methodman, Masta killa, Capppadonna,RZA, Reakwon, Superb, U-God, and 60 Second Assassin, they all hold there own. For the old school sounding Wu bangers check out The Grain, Wu Banga 101, and Buck 50. For a up beat feel check out One, Cherchez Laghost, and Childs Play. For some super lyrics check out Mighty Helthy, Ghost Deini, and Apollo Kids. There some thing for every one, unless you listen to The Black Eye peas or some crap like that. There's even a 50 Cent diss(Clyde Smith). One bad thing about this set of songs is the one they left out becouse the sample could not get cleared, download The Gutar. Supreme Cliental is like a more evolved Sounding Iron Man disk, so buy it.

Supreme effort from Ghostface (4.5 Stars).......2005-07-18

The second solo album from Ghostface Killah, "Supreme Clientele", is a winner. Always the Wu's most consistent solo artist, Ghost delivers another grimy LP from front to back, from the RZA-assisted banger "Nutmeg", all the way to the self-explanatory Wu posse-cut "Wu Banga 101" with help from GZA, Cappadonna, Masta Killa and Raekwon. The production on the album is mostly done by in-house Wu-unknowns, but Supreme Clientele is co-produced by RZA, and he makes sure that the Wu's grimy sound is fully apparent throughout the album.

Ghost's lyrics occasionally suffer from WTHIHS (What the hell is he saying?) syndrome, but his flow is bananas, and his breath control sounds like he can rap for hours straight. There aren't really any standout tracks, but that only proves how consistent the album really is. However, Buck 50 with Method Man, Redman and Cappadonna is a posse-cut nothing short of classic. With Supreme Clientele, Ghostface Killah becomes the only Clan member with more than one truly dope album (see Ironman.) His consistency remains unmatched not only among his fellow Wu-Tang Clan members, but throughout the whole rap game as he continues to drop nice albums (see Pretty Toney.)

Best moments: Buck 50 (my favourite), The Grain, Nutmeg, One, Malcolm and Child's Play.

this is indeed the return of the wu-tang clan at their best. Finally the wu threw out a good cd since the meth/red blackout album. And this time ghostface made a edited version so everyone could listen to it.
