Album Description

"Have You Ever Touched a Dream?" is Daybehavior's second album, following up the popular Scandinavian debut album "Adored". This Swedish band has a style all their own, combining top notch electronic production with an absolutely dreamy female vocalist. Some of the songs are uptempo, danceable club tracks, while others are melancholy trip-hop flavored songs. All together, it adds up to a great listening experience.

The first 1,000 copies include a limited edition bonus disc which includes the winning remixes from a contest that was open to electronic musicians from all over the world. There are winning mixes from countries like Russia, Greece, Spain, Germany, Sweden, etc. plus a couple of contributions by Daybehavior themselves. Pick up the album quickly for the great extras!

5 out of 5 stars Catchy dance pop.......2006-03-11

I recently discovered Day Behavior when I heard a remix of their song of "Close Your Eyes" on the latest cd by DJ Copper Top. I absolutely was hooked by the catchy hooks. Normally my taste in muisc leans towards EBM, goth, and industrial music but I occasionally will dabble in the poppier side of dance music. I recently got a copy of the Scandinavian's album "Have You Ever Touched a Dream?". I was hooked the moment I heard the opening song "Give Me". I love the lush female vocals and the gentle throbbing dance beats. My favorite songs are the more upbeat songs like "Give Me" and "Close Your Eyes" but I also dug the more downtempo tracks such as "Heaven" and "The Moments I Couldn't Save". I couldn't help but notice on the slower songs a slight resemblence to Olive and a smidgeon of Solar Twins. "Have You Ever Touched a Dream?" is a fun dance pop album. I enjoy it immensely.

This is not even in the same categorie as Iris depeche mode etc. This is euro dance crap. I think that to much of this euro dance is being lumped into the same genre of music as the groups I mentioned and that is sad. Just because there are keyboards and its dance music does not mean its in the same genre as Iris de/vision etc.

5 out of 5 stars Have You Ever Touched a Dream?.......2005-06-05

I've come to rely a great deal on A Different Drum to provide me with good, quality synthpop-styled music that rarely disappoints. They're a small independent record label that supports and markets groups such as Daybehavior, enabling these talented unknowns to express themselves freely and to actually get their musings out there... I first heard of Daybehavior through an Internet acquaintance who recommended them to me. They said it was "my type of music" and was pretty adamant about it, so with time I listened to samples, liked what I heard, and decided to buy it... Needless to say I was glad I did! Daybehavior's 'Have You Ever Touched a Dream?' swirls with heavenly female voices set to energetic as well as soothing electronics, sounding like an amalgam of Solar Twins and Mandalay with their darker down-tempo/trip-hop melodies, and like ATB/Lasgo with the more uplifting, club friendly dance-pop tracks. The only song that's cast apart from the others is "Devil In Me" which is deeply infused with driving industrial beats.

1 out of 5 stars amazing music... not.......2005-04-25

If you really like stuff that was trendy crap 10 years ago then, by all means, pick up this album. If you like MUSIC try something else.

5 out of 5 stars Very nice, good, stuff!.......2004-12-02

I bought this CD on a whim, since Amazon recommended it to me.

I didn't know what to expect from it. I listened to a few tracks online, but I don't like listening to things from the middle, but what I heard, I enjoyed.

So, I bought the CD. I saw that it had 2 CDs, and the second one was mostly remixes, which I didn't mind. I love remixes.

The CD opens up, with a rather, open/airy song: "Give Me". I fall in love with the singers voice, it's very beautiful and smooth. I love smooth voices. The song it's self is slow, and kinda dancy. More of one of those slow tracks to let everyone rest.

Most of the songs after that are slow and airy, and then we have, "Close Your Eyes" which speeds things up a bit. It has a good beat, and those same beautiful vocals.

Then we come to "Bleed". It's kind of dark. Rock feel to it, which I was surprised at. It's very pretty, and really shows it's dark undercurrents.

The rest of the songs, are rather dark, and it surprised me. Due to the first songs, and then coming to this dark stuff. It becomes brighter with Superstar, but then falls back into the dark sound that I am used to.

All in all, I love this CD. It's new. It's different, just what I have been looking for. I love new things, and this new genre is great.

    Album Description

Daybehavior is an electronic pop band from Sweden that touches on synthpop / dance as well as on down-tempo trip-hop with ultra-sexy female vocals. The breathy, melodic vocals combine perfectly with the uptempo flavor of this new single. The different remix versions work great for any dance floor, and the extra non-album track "Human Kind" gives a taste of the band's mellow side.

Well, to me this cd wasnt that great at all. If you'd ask me how it was i'd reply with an "well it was aiight". Rodney O and Joe Cooley have been way past their "hay day". The Presence of young rapper "Dedope" was the only standout on this cd. Look for his solo "aint no questions".
