I have this CD and it is awesome! Sunrise Offering I say was one of the best songs on this. I also downloaded these songs on my ipod mini. Brule is definately a great CD.

This Album really gets your blood pumping. Mixing New Age with Traditional Native Music. My favorite is Sunrise Offering and All My Relations. In All My Relations the new age sound is evident. Thankyou Brule for such wonderful music. I too am Lakota Sioux

Awesome punk CD with a serious message.......2003-03-22

Thanks to a stand at a Native American Arts Fest in Phoenix, AZ by Canyon Records, I was able to sample a lot of Native American music. And when I heard that there was actually a punk one, I thought, what the heck...and what a pleasant surprise it was! For those who enjoy bands like Bad Religion, Pennywise and the like, you will be right at home with this CD. I have been a fan of punk from when it started, and this CD ranks in my Top 10. Well arranged and executed with sheer emotion and raw power, Blackfire puts a wake up call to us all - and what a better bunch to do so than Native Americans, with a shameful history of abuse from the white man. The songs are tight, and with screaming lyrics like 'There is blood on the hands of time!!', well, it got this listener very interested. This is NOT your 'typical' Native American Music CD (flutes, drums and lots of chanting), although we do get some traditional chants in some of the songs - and believe it or not, they fit very well with the mood of the song. Akin to Medicine Dream - who add a rock element to the native sound - this band put together a great punk CD with well written songs and musicianship that would rival today's popular punk bands.

Even if you are not into punk, but say into bands that have an edge with anger (Linkin Park, Sevendust, etc) - give Blackfire a try. This is not the sloppy, 3 chord punk that many bands cashed in on during the halcyon punk years - this is good stuff!!

The album One Night In Sauchiehall Street was recorded on this acoustic tour and captured the essence of Francis Dunnery. Shortly after this album was recorded Francis was invited to join Robert Plant's band and record the album Fate Of Nations. Once out of the Plant band Francis returned to his solo career and recorded further albums and formed his own record company Aquarian Nation. Since then Francis has recorded for Lauren Hill on her multi platinum album The Mis-education of Lauren Hill and Carlos Santana on his million selling Supernatural album. Francis also continued performing solo concerts across the world?Oh yes and he has also re formed It Bites. The live acoustic album One Night Live In Sauchiehall Street contains songs such as Homegrown, Yellow Christian and the It Bites song Too Young To Remember. One Night Live In Sauchiehall Street has proved to be a consistent seller through Francis Dunnery's website. from the moment this cd starts you will understand how this man has become to be an excellent songwriter
opening lines such as "i bet you aint seen robert plant making a cup of tea on stage"sets the scene for a very personal gig
the song "feel like kissing you again"does not lose it's album aura
a very funny album with plenty of the usual frankie anecdotes as with all his gigs
this cd tells you a lot about the man frankie is and will set you up ready for the next one you buy and fall in love with
