All self-respecting MC's should own a copy of these 2 east coast hip hop staples. Take listen to any notable hip hop or r & b release in the 90's and you'll hear snippets of this classic, specifically Mary J. Blige, A Tribe Called Quest and Bad Boy releases. Vapors is the first lesson I ever learned about haters and when you make the come up. Like 2pac said: " A lot of us fatherless boys listened to the rappers of our day as father figures." Pac named LL, Kane, and Cube as his father figures. Biz Markie certainly goes on that list as well.

Biz in Harmony.......2002-05-03

These two cds were Biz at his best. Goin' Off featuring the vastly underrated TJ Swan and Biz Never Sleeps perfectly captures the Emmazaa-A-R-KIE reaching his zenith. My Man Rich, Biz in Harmony, Things Get Easier, Make the Music, Albee Square Mall, etc. There's probably only two songs maximum that didn't age well between the two LPs. I love all of the monikers that he calls himself on Never Sleeps. To this day I haven't been able to decipher them all. I'd remembered Goin' Off as a classic but for some reason had forgotten about the hidden treasure that was Never Sleeps. It somehow got overlooked during the all Gangsta or all Daisy age of hip-hop. I had to cop this one as soon as I spotted it. A hall of fame cd for a hall of fame artist.

Nobody Beats The Biz.......2001-09-29

This is a great find! Biz Markie is the best Old-School rapper who obviously influenced Biggie Smalls, the best rapper since The Biz. If you are a lyricist looking for inspiration, look no further. Biz rymes vague words to express himself, not worring about everything ryming perfectly and focusing on the flow of things. This is a breath of fresh air in today's rap world of Cash Money, DMX, "P Diddy", and others. Biz sings about simpler things and has fun with it. The best CD next to The Roots' "Do You Want More?"

CLASSIC! One of the greatest MC's ever. The beats are still timeless. Great lyrics and storytelling. a MUST HAVE for any true hip hop fan. Biz's flow is unbelievable.

The frontliner song of this album is undoubtedly "Vapors" aka "The Vapors" Biz spoke truthfully and lyrically in this hip hop classic. Listening to kids run around sayin so and so is "hatin" on them for doing well, it's good to have this song as reference to say, "Hey, you ain't goin through nothin new...Peep it".

Biz will go down in Hip Hop History as one of the most eccentric artists of all time.

Buy this album cause biz ain't making any money now with all this new junk that's out.

1st of all, Im a 31yr old hiphop head. and yes indeed this is a classic, it's a matter of fact anything came out during the yr of 88' is a classic. the biz, big daddy kane and the whole juice crew was on top. for u young onez that's on the come up, this is where puff {badboy}, and suge (deathrow) got there game from...bottomline go and get this c.d. right now!
