In my opinion one of the tightest combination of emcees on one CD that came out in '06 (along wid that Torture Papers by AOTP). This is a nice album. I listened from beginning to end without skipping a single track. As a matter of fact I still have this CD in my changer from the time I bought it. My favorite tracks on here would have to be 'Let Me Talk', 'Don't Depend On Me' and 'Dope man'. All the beats on this CD are OFF THE CHAIN. Just remember this is a matter of opinion, GO COP THIS CD RITE NOW! It's worth it.

I HAVE OWNED THIS CD SINCE IT CAME OUT, 5 OUT OF 5 STARS. NOT MUCH FOR WORDS TODAY BUT BUY THIS ALBUM. YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED. DONT BUY IT HERE FOR 35$ BUY IT ON FRISCOSTREETSHOW.COM FOR 15.99$ LOOK UNDER HARD TO FIND/ITS BEEN OUT OF PRINT FOR A LONG TIME. IN MY TOP 10 LIST FO-SURE.

EXPLOSIVE MODE.......2002-08-25

I can't believe how many people do not know about these two very talented rappers. West Coast rappers got more heat than any rappers I've ever heard, and it saddens me when an album this tight has not reached the masses. San Quinn/Messy Marv are one of the best kept secrets in the Bay Area, and with national exposure, no telling how large they could be. But maybe thats a good thing that they are not well known (nationally) because their record labels might want them to change their style to a softer, pop-ish type sound. So when I play this CD in the car, and people nod their heads and ask me who this is, I just laugh and show them the CD. Then they want to burrow it...NO! Do not loan this CD to anyone if you are smart...but on with the reviews. Among the best songs on here are:
Pop yo Colla: This song is a club song, riding song, whatever song, this song is tight, hits in the car
Golden State: original beat with Rappin 4-Tay dropping the hook
Discourteous: Great beat with storytelling at its finest
Stop It: The beat on this song is sick
Presidential: I can't believe how much heat these artists have
Hoodlife: Took a while to grow on me, but it is now one of my favorite songs on the CD
Want Me to Stay: Dewayne Wiggins drops a nice touch to this song
Money Now: Tight beat, even more heat
Takin Inventory: A perfect ending to an excellent album

I loved Messy Marv and San Quinn's contributions to the 17 Reasons Compilation, but this album did not quite reach my expectations, which may have been too high. I did not find the production too great, so their delivery was a bit watered down. These are two great rappers, so you might want to pick this up to witness their talent, but I'd rather listen to their other releases or compilations.
