Customer Reviews:
Unknown Yonkers talent but worth a listen...........2000-08-21
Most people think they know every artist from Yonkers,NY - Mary J Blige, DMX, Sporty Theives, LOX, but it gets deeper with the Olympx a rap duo by the names of Kerry and Jay-Nom. The album was sneak realeased by Warlox Records and the artist didn't have a chance to promote it. The album is good. The album has tracks produced by an up and coming producer by the name of J-Blend who I feel has the best tracks on the album especially the street banger '914 Killaz'. They emcompass the flavor of east and west coast in their songs trying to make music that is not confined to one region of the US. The song 'Smiles & Tears' utilizes the vocal talents of Kibwe(KEE-WAY) and R&B singer featured on the Sporty Theives album as well. They feature other unknown Yonkers artists like Black Jesus and Lazurus. Overall it is an album that you can enjoy, it has it's bad moments but I do not think that it is a waste of money. If you like hip-hop go cop Olympx it's better that a lot of other albums that are hyped with only one single, they have about 4. ONE- JQ
