Where's the oldies???.......2006-08-20

Out of all of the early '90s, L.A. gangster flicks, this one probably had the best set of Chicano oldie tracks. The movie was laced with them, yet none are on the soundtrack. Kind of a waste.

Sure, you can get those oldies anywhere. But it would be nice to have those songs from this movie on one cd. Again, it was a good sequence they used.

Aside from that; It's okay, I guess, if you're a fan of b-list L.A. Chicano rappers. But, even if you are, you can get better music from their respective albums. LSOB's first CD from '91 was tight. If you have that, then you're really not missing anything by letting the 'Loca' soundtrack pass.

Ok lets get right to the point veary chingon movie, lots of action good gangster s*** but this!!! I mean wheres the firme musica??? You would think with such a great movie the soundtrack to the movie would be so bueno but it just doesent grab my attention at all. I mean some of the songs are good like the one bye Funkadoobiest and Girls It Aint Easy bye the 4 Corners and the one bye Boss Catch Hit and Run but on these songs they are a different version of the songs not the ones like the way they were in the movie and they left some good songs out for instence, the one So Ruff so Tuff by Zapp and Roger great song!!! but not on there. Well I have them already it's just the point that they left some stuff out. Well... just understand me, in what i'm saying and get somthing else like the Bound By Honor soundtrack. Now thats a good one!!! as for the 1 in rating well you figure it out.

Great songs.......2004-08-25

Okay, I personally only like about three or four songs off this cd. The rest are aight but just not the kinda music I get into easily. The best songs on here are 4 Corners' songs Girls It Ain't Easy & Suavecito and the two tracks by Lighter Shade of Brown. Hey DJ I had heard before I even saw the movie and I loved it. Two Lovers is one cuz I know a lot of guys who have had two women he loved or at least liked a lot n couldn't choose between em. And I myself have been in a position of having two vatos I like a lot and knowin I had to choose. Anyhow, I like the cd, don't regret buyin it but like others have said the score woulda been a good addition to it.

not a good soundtrack at all. I don't even remember the songs on it cause they weren't good and I only listened to it once. The best part, the score, is not on the soundtrack. But, I recently tracked that down on a CD by John Taylor called Metafour (not available on Amazon for some reason). Get that if you liked the movie

Not Missing Much.......2004-01-14

The movie is the bomb but the soundtrack is not that great. I bought the soundtrack for the song, "Run, Catch & Kill" by female rapper Boss and the version on the soundtrack is not even the same one that was in the movie. Songs such as "Girls It Ain't Easy" and a few other gems could have been left behind. "Suevecito" and "Hey Dj" by Lighter Shade of Brown are okay. What is missing from this soundtrack is the awesome score.

...Chris Gaffney is the real deal. He is the one songwriter who really writes about growing up in LA and especially southeast county with insight and deep feeling. "68" and "Artesia" are masterpieces. This guy should recognized as a master of the form and the band rocks too.

Chris Gaffney continues to be one of the best unknown artists in the world. He plays with a sincerity and sound not heard in country since Hank Williams. But, he can rock with the best of them.

Para mi este es el mas importante disco, quizas antes con sus temas ¨loco tu forma de ser¨solo los conocia, pero con este cd me di cuenta de como se puede ser musico haciendo a lo que uno le gusta, Los Autenticos saben bien que quieren y lo hacen tal cual les nace, fue increible cuando salio corazon, en chile salio el año 97' antes si el 96' habia salido la cancion del ¨
¨Murguero¨ y ¨La Guitarra¨, con la cual me decidi por comprarme una.Nada mas que decir de los siguientes temas como ¨Diosa¨ que encantaron a todos en Vivo en Chile. Luego en ¨Cualquiera puede cantar¨ nos dieron mas exitos, pero este CD para mi es el mejor trabajo de Los Autenticos, QUE FARRA NO!!!!!

El Murguero y La Guitarra te hacen sentir alegre aunque estes en un mal momento, si te sientes como un bicho raro los deca te van a decir que no hay pedo... frases como "yo no queria una vida normal, no me gustaban los horarios de oficina, mi espiritu rebelde se reia del dinero, del lujo y del comfort" y "no quiero trabajar, no quiero ir a estudiar, no me quiero casar... quiero tocar la guitarra todo el dia..." te hacen sentir bien y las quieres cantar a pulmon abierto mientras manejas en el trafico.
