It doesn't happen much, but there are times when the departure of a group's most prominent player inspires the rest of the act to get seriously bizzy. Strength & Love, a tight disc that skitters from track to shiny track with imagination and a renewed sense of rap's widened boundaries, makes Bone Thugs-N-Harmony a prime example. Without Bizzy Bone to layer a drizzle of Midwestern vocal weirdness over their sound, Layzie, Krayzie, and Wish Bone call in a crew of hard-hitting helpers: Akon delivers twice, first on the melting "I Tried" and again on the weepy "Never Forget Me," Mariah Carey flits through "Lil Love" alongside Bow Wow, and Twista and Yolanda Adams also make reputation-enhancing appearances (Twista by barreling through "C-Town" at breakneck speed and Adams by giving it up gorgeously for God on "Order My Steps (Dear Lord)"). Best of all about this proud-making comeback disc is its clever use of samples: "Wind Blow" pins the Fleetwood Mac chestnut "The Chain" down to urban pavement without wrecking its spirit, and the smartly produced "The Streets" updates the vibe of Bobby Womack's timeless "Across 110th Street" while preserving its grit-covered class. --Tammy La GorceCustomer Reviews:

If you still doubt this groups talent then listen to the album opener Flow Motion...makes my jaw drop every time that I hear that track!
Bump In The trunk should become another Bone classic. They actually make "Wind Blow" work 100%! The first single is a sad song about trying in life, but also kind of inspirational at the same time. C-Town with Twista is awesome, everyone tears their verse up! 9mm and Gun Blast remind me of them 'ole Bone Boys classicks!!!
If you ever been a fan of Bone, then pick this classick up! Bone boys are back 110%!

A Straight Thuggin' CD...............2007-07-16
"Down 71" starts with Bizzy Bone at trial. He is reflecting on how he got there and this track is full of action & violence, ghetto style! "The Bill Collector" can be said to get what is owed, on the real tip! Don't test BT&H or there will definitely be consequences. I love the homage to the underground on this! "Budsmokers Only" is a tokin' tune with the homies, it's all about smoking, the taste, the feeling, everything! (Check out any Kottonmouth Kings) "Crossroads" is the signature song here, how fitting it's at the middle of the CD. I guess this is all about finding yourself through reflections of your actions, whether good or bad. Keep prayin' brothers! "Me Killa" is poetic in verse, short, but to the point of being a straight, ruthless dealer!
"Land Of Tha Heartless" is about survival in Cleveland! Watch your back, is the clear message here, there's no place to run! "No Shorts, No Losses" can be said to let people know that these cats never want to get cheated or else! Whether it be drugs, or favors, if a double cross happens, it's time for someone to pay! "1st Of The Month" is a smooth party groove, Everyone's paid and it's time to get that party on. Grillin', Chillin, Stylin', and Profilin' it's that time to relax, hang, and smoke with the homies! "Buddah Lovaz" is silky smooth jam, only for the smokers, but the way they sang it, it makes me want to get laid for real! LOL! I guess you would call this a love song!
"Die Die Die" is a song I cant comprehend too much, accept for the fact that in the send they get got my the cops! "Mr. Ouija 2" is an obvious continuation of Ouija off the Creepin' Ah Come Up EP, Just trying to get insight on a murder about to happen. "Mo Murda" is segued from Ouija 2, but the actual act, based on what was told by the ouija! It's painted picture of how the ghetto is, when the game is involved. "Shotz To Tha Double Glock" rounds out this tale about taking care of business, protecting your hood and your homies is what it's about! Sort of a "Thuggalo" family (LOL! I use that reference because I am a die hard juggalo and I know ICP and Bone Thugs are tight!)
This Cd is straight gangsta for real. I mean it's subtle and to the point, honest, and real! If you ask me this is more prolific than Tupac, and very raw!! An excellent CD by Bone Thugs & Harmony!!!!

Hustlin', Flowin', and Chedda Showin'................2007-07-15
"No Surrender" has a 'Zapp & Roger' feel mixed with 3rd Bass, LOL! This reminds me alot of a survival type track. I mean running and surviving on the streets. Especially getting revenge on those who mess with your crew! "Down Foe My Thang" can be said to be a 'self' track! I mean, on the streets, you gotta do what you gotta do. If hustlin' and drugs are your thing, then you gotta do what it takes to get the job done. Look behind the words on this track, I feel that it is saying to accomplish your dreams, any way you can. "Creepin On Ah Come Up" is the smooth title track. It reminds me of 'Welcome To Eazy's Playhouse' by Eazy E. (RIP). This is sort of a real gangsta track, reminiscing about thuggin', robbin', and thievin'.
"For Tha Love Of $" is all about making' dat chedda! No matter how you have to do it. Money is something one has to have and the thugs gotta keep rollin', making their ends. Eazy E shines phat on this track. "Moe Cheese" is just a continuation of 'For Tha Love Of $'. Overall, I would say that this Cd is for the pimps and hustlas, just trying to make it in the world, by any means necessary....
Short But Strong Introduction For Bone Thugs.......2007-06-02
The EP only really has 5 songs on it (not including the intro, 'Mr. Ouija' and 'Moe Cheese' which is the instrumental to 'Foe Tha Love Of $') which is the reason why I couldn't give it 5 stars. Their second album is overall stronger than this EP and is the group's highpoint of their career, I strongly recommend both of these CDs because they mark a changing point in hip-hop music.

" creepin' on ah come up "
This is one of my most loved albums in my collection and even though i am i huge fan of mostly west coast compton music this album has a unque style to it which is/has never been heard before or since
This is bone thugz second album even though alot of people do think it is there first, this is due to them changing there name when coming on to "ruthless records" B.O.N.E was the original name of this group.
This is a short album but please dont let this put you off buying it, it has well put together lyrics which need plentty of attention to pick up and maybe even needing to look up the lyrics.
This is by far there best album in my eyes
crazy lyrics with an exremely fast tempo. eazy e also come in with lyrics on the song " for the love $ "
The album was produced by eazy e and yella so expect only the best dark yet catch beats placed under so great lyrics and is one of my " must haves " to any hip-hop fan.
Much love

ART OF WAR!!!! MR. LEATHER FACE.......2007-01-16
The best of The Thugs IMO.......2006-05-11
The disc some of my personal favorites: "Handle the Vibe", "Look Into My Eyes", "Body Rott", "Mind of a Souljah", "If I Could Teach the World", "Thug Luv", "Wasteland Warriors", "U Ain't Bone", "Friends", and "Evil Paradise". This is almost a full disc full of songs that I really love. One doesn't realize how many good songs are on here until one looks at the back and really counts. This doesn't even include the songs that are okay. The sheer content of good songs really sets Art of War apart from most 2 CD efforts (and one CD efforts).
Another interesting point is that this stage is a sort of half evolved Bone Thugs. They aren't the youngsters from East 1999 Eternal or Creepin on ah Come Up and fortunately they're not at all like they are on BNTHResurrection. They are so smooth, so professional, and the raps are fast. They branch out from plainly violent raps with harsh beats. The CD is smooth. The beats are polished and the lyrics are strong. The Bone Thugs trade in their glocks for books on this effort. They really get a lot more contemplative on Art of War. They rarely get dumb on this album and sound like the patriarchs of rap that they are. They don't point out how good they are; they simply pump out good tracks.
Art of War is simply a collection of mostly laid back cool Bone tracks. They have it all on this CD and the number of tracks only adds to it. It has an awesome vibe throughout. It's not terribly dark, but it is somewhat mysterious. The beats are generally off the beaten path. They experiment with gun sounds in "Thug Luv" featuring 2Pac. The beat in "Body Rott" has a weird, but interesting feel to it as well. Remixes and remakes of old songs are also well done with "Friends" and "Evil Paradise". Bone successfully puts their stamp on these songs that could have been horrid flops.
The downside is that there is no crescendo on the Art of War. There isn't a song that really personifies the album or that brings it to the most elite level. Top 10 hits simply aren't here. The CD sets a tone and basically does not change throughout both discs. This isn't really a bad thing, unless you strictly aren't feeling it from the start.
This album reminds me of Cube's War and Peace Vol. 1. It has no signature song but it really has a lot of good tracks on it. When a CD achieves this type of consistency I feel the need to reward them. I can listen to this CD all the way through and not fall asleep. This is really the pinnacle Bone Thugs album, in my view.

Few things are as potentially embarrassing as a moment in popular culture whose time has just passed. Worse still is when it reappears, insisting upon its continued relevance. Such is the case with this Bone Thugs-N-Harmony reunion album. The platinum-selling Eazy-E protégés break off yet another piece of their double-time sing-song rhyme style, while once more celebrating gangsta themes to the exclusion of almost everything else. (One new development: in one song, they add Ecstasy to their regimen of ganja, ganja, and ganja.) For all that, BTNHResurrection is a pristine work of production; those who didn't find the group's act tedious the first time around might not mind hearing more of the same. --Rickey WrightCustomer Reviews:
The Last Great Album Bone Made.......2007-05-17
Now to BTHNResurrection...
Yes, it's Bone is still amazing on this album. Krayzie still with the best flow, Bizzy falling directly behind him, Layzie still tearing it up, Wish still doing his thing, and A LOT more of the underrated: Flesh-N-Bone, who actually appeared on 15/16 of the tracks. He also really rips the tracks apart.
As for the tracks:
#1) Show 'Em - 8.5/10: A great start to the album.
#2) The Righteous Ones - 10/10: The best track on the C.D. Layzie's flow is really smooth and great, Bizzy also does great work here. Same for Flesh.
#3) 2 Glocks - 10/10: Another amazing addition to the Bone songs. Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy, and Flesh really rip this track apart, especially Krayzie and Flesh.
#4) Battlezone - 9.75/10: Phew, Krayzie's verse is really long, and also really awesome. Grand song.
#5) Ecstacy - 9.25/10: They all do an excellent job on this song, and it's overall superb.
#6) Murder One - 10/10: If The Rigteous Ones isn't the best song on the track, this would have to be it. Bizzy, Layzie, and Flesh tear it up, boy.
#7) Souljah's Marching - 10/10: Layzie is extremely good on this track, but then again, so is Bizzy and Flesh. Amazing song.
#8) Servin' Tha Fiends - 9.25/10: Excellent track. Bizzy, Layzie, and Flesh work the track, as usual.
#9) Resurrection (Paper, Paper) - 10/10: You gotta love this laidback track. Feel good song, with all 5 of the Thugs working it.
#10) Can't Give It Up - 8.5/10: A great song, w/Kray, Lay, Biz, and Flesh doing their usual.
#11) Weed Song: you know what? I can't remember this track.
#12) Change The World - 9/10: Layzie, Bizzy, Wish, and Flesh do some good work on this great track.
#13) Don't Worry - 9.25-9.5/10: Sounds like a class Bone song to me, with all of the Thugs on it. Awesome track.
#14) Mind On Our Money - 8.5-8.75/10: Another great track. Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy, and Flesh on the track.
#15) No Way Out - 8.75-9/10: Layzie, Bizzy, and Flesh on track, great song.
#16) One Night Stand - 9.25/10: Superb Bizzy solo track. He really rips it up! Awesome outro to this awesome C.D.
End result: BUY THE C.D. Whether you be a Bone Thug fan or not, which I am an extreme fan, just buy it. Anyone who has any taste in Rap will love the album. Overall, a superb C.D.
The reason Bone fails to be as good as they were is simple: Bizzy is gone, Flesh is in prison 'til '08, new and average producers, giving them a mordern sound, minusing the old Bone Thug sound we all love, and finally, TOO many guest appearances on Strength & Loyalty. Putting people on a different level on the same tracks as Bone doesn't work out so well.
God bless.
Nowhere near their best.......2006-05-11
The album isn't all bad, but it's not mostly good either. I count 5 songs I like, and it's not a strong like. You can probably make it through the first 9 songs and think it's not a bad effort. There are some good songs for Bone fans on here. I like "2 Glocks", "Souljah's Marching", and "Battlezone" best. These are the songs where the thugs come back to their roots the best on. These are the somewhat fast, pretty warlike, and have a nice beat to them.
Of course, I won't slam on the style of the Thugs. While it is noticeably slower and different, they can still tear it up. For Example, I want to hear Bizzy rolling at full speed, not hear him whine. They can still do it, but they just seem reluctant to do it in this album.
The real problem I have with this CD is that there are no songs I think of that compel me to put the CD in. There are songs I like once it's on but none that I look forward to. It is just the Bone Thugs just kind of kicking it. They come with very reg songs and expect you to think it's the best thing since sliced bread. It's not that they don't break new ground, it's just that they do less of what they set the precedent for in Come Up and East 1999. A lot of the CD is too laid back. When I put in the Bone Thugs I want fast violent rapping, not songs that just kind of slip along.
I'm also calling the Bone Thugs out for Ecstasy. We don't need you f_____s telling people to do drugs. There are enough people on drugs already. I don't undertsnad how you can put out a song like "Change the World" when earlier on the album you tell people "X" is the hottest thing rolling. I really denounce this. We accept the chronic as a part of the culture, but in general I do not approve of drug pushing on CD's.
Resurrection is okay for the Bone Thugs fan. This means that if you are not a fan steer clear. I bought Resurrection and wanted to love it. I can't even like it, and I like Bone. Resurrection did not convince the generation of kids that didn't grow up on Come Up and East 1999, and I can't blame them. I was really hoping this CD would be a lot better than it turned out to be.
Surprisingly great album.......2006-04-16
The album leads off with the strong "Show 'Em", anchored by Bizzy, shunning haters over a tough beat. "The Righteous Ones" is a hard song with a weird chorus by David's Daughters. "2 Glocks" is a well produced, tough song led by Krayzie in the chorus. On "Battlezone", a good war song, Krayzie and Bizzy lead with a good chorus and singing. On "Ecstasy", Bone deals with a new drug on the block, with a beat reminiscent of "Smokin Buddha". Bizzy sings the chorus on the strong "Murder One", as Krayzie does on the similarly good "Souljahs Marching". After the pretty good "Servin' the Fiends" is the best track, "Resurrection (Paper, Paper)". It's a slower track, excellently produced with a great bassline and instrumentals, a teamed chorus with Krayzie and Bizzy, and top notch philosophical verses from all. "Weed Song" is an evolved "Buddah Lovaz", with old soul samples. "Change the World" is another great highlight, led by Bizzy Bone's thoughtful chorus. They deal with the problems in the world and how to change them, with DJ U-Neek's famous piano instrumental. "Don't Worry" is an inspirational, happier song with a piano and bass beat and good lyrics. "Mind on Our Money" and "No Way Out" are both standard, hard Bone Thugs songs, and the album ends with a bonus solo track by Bizzy Bone.
Anyone who owns and thoroughly enjoys any Bone Thugs-N-Harmony release (as I imagine you do if you are reading this) would definitely love "BTNHResurrection". It is a very strong album, exhibiting all the talent, lyrics, and production that makes Bone great.

It's somehow appropriate that Ruthless Records' first release since the death of its founder, Eazy-E, would come from Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, a Cleveland-based crew that mixes the smooth L.A. gangsta grooves Eazy helped create with the group's spooky fascination with the afterlife. It's as if Eazy still talks to the members of Bone--Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy, Wish, and Flesh N'--through their beloved Ouija board. And, it seems, even in death the gangsta rap pioneer isn't a bit repentant.Following last year's multiplatinum EP, Creepin' on Ah Come Up, Bone have put together a debut long-player that builds on everything the first record promised. That is, E.1999 Eternal contains some of the most beautiful music you'll ever be repulsed by. Bone's vocal style is so tuneful and harmonically coordinated that it sounds more like a ghostly chant/sing than like traditional rap. But like Boyz II Men's evil twins, Bone offer up a complex potion of bittersweet crooning and poisonous rapid-fire rhyming that takes us deep into the dark side of life and the twisted side of death. That E.1999 Eternal is so musical only makes its noxious lyrical content all the more subversive. --Roni Sarig

Spending money on this collection is like buying old newspaper articles. It might have had some value when it first hit the stands, but who wants yesterday's papers? C Tom Ryan

Awesome B-Sides.......2007-03-06
I'm really feelin' "C Land I.A." and "Look Into My Eyes (Atlantis Remix)" and "Weedman". These tracks alone are worth takin a gander.
If you're lookin for a Greatest Hits, then you best go get that double album (with the grey cover)! That one has all the hits you're lookin for. But in the meantime, check out these B-Sides.

Average Bone album.......2004-05-12
I'll rate each track with 5 being the best
C LAND I.A. (3.5) Electric guitar synth and it's a Bizzy and Flesh duo, I prefer Frontline warriors and this track takes longer to grow onto you.
THUG LUV featuring 2pac 5/5. The second best to me and this has repeated shotgun blasts with piano synths. Bizzy does best because he is straight hardcore.if Bizzy wasn't on this track this wouldn't be one of Bone's best songs. 2 pac is next(he doesn't disappoint)and is does not rap fast. Layzie is next and as usual, he uses his amazing flowing skills but his voice is soft in it. Krazie is next and flows pretty hard was well. Wish doesn't do so well and he got worse from East 1999 were he was so much better.
HOOK IT UP 2.5/5
LOOK INTO MY EYES remix 5/5 this has a better tune than the original. My favourite verse on original was Layzie's and now it's Bizzie's. This has melodic tune and has a bit of electric guitar was well. The new music makes all the verses have a better beat and this it's now very catchy.
WEEDMAN. 3/5 This is just Bizziy from Bone and special guests. A great soft tune to chill to and Bizzie uses his high pitched voice like he used from The Art of War and onwards.
FRONTLINE WARIORS.Featuring Big B 3.5/5 A Layzie and Bizzie duo then Big B at the end. Now Layzie is soft and doesn't rap as good as he did on East/Eturnal 1999 album, his softer voice fits in perfectly with the deep base in the background. Listen to sleepwalkers(2nd verse) and that's got Layzies old style and you'll agrea that he used to be better in some ways. Bizzy raps just as good.
GHETTO COWBOY 4/5 Featuring Thug Queen, Krayzie Bone and Layzie. Krayzie sounds different and Layzie gives him help along the way.
Sleepwalkers.Faturing Eazy 5/5 This is an old track and why this wasn't on Creepin on ah come up or East 1999 is beyond me(maybe it was because it's short or it was not finished produced). Eazy E(R.I.P)uses great lyrics and after his verse you here an explosion and Layzie comes in and he's catchier as ever. He was my favourite rapper from East 1999 and this shows why. When krayzie comes in you can tell it's the young thug and he rapped more hardcore than he does now. Bizzy is next and does the most hardcore. He makes my head bob. Wish comes in and is not as hot as the rest of them thugs but he raps fast towards the end for 5 secs.
FAVOURITE SONGS(IN ORDER OF BEST)
1. SLEEPWALKERS.FEATURING EAZY E
2. THUG LUV
3. LOOK INTO MY EYES remix(better than original)
4. FRONTLINE WARRIORS
5. WEEDMAN, Bizzy Bone with special guests
If they want to be soft from T.W.O, then they should do songs like Frontline Warriors, Bone Bone or Weedman.
