5 out of 5 stars Trapper John M.D........2006-08-28

Don't judge a book by it's cover, nor listen to what other may say about this album. As the South continues to run the rap game, Decatur, GA's own Gucci Mane's debut Trap House has the very essence of southern hospitality. Gucci Mane has a congested, nasal flow that doesn't interfere with his charisma or styles. Production was covered by Demetrius Stewart with five tracks, Nitti with three tracks and Xavier Dotson with five as well as they captured his best. The title track has a mid-tempo groove with heavy kicks and crisp highs, as he flows carefully with step by step metaphors that relates to selling drugs. "That's All" has a more club orientated tempo as Gucci brags on his hustling skills claiming "...is it hot in here, n*gga, or it's just me..." With a club's dance scene, "Booty Shorts" captures what type and style of tune calls the ladies out to the floor. "Icy" featuring Young Jeezy & Boo is a bragging, flossing song with bass in multiple depths for a good addition for the overall feel of this album. Gucci flexes style "...so strange..." versatility and charisma on "Two Thangs". Here he spits slang and delivers dual punch lines with dual meanings such as the opening verse "...it ain't the money, it's the principle / uuh, what kind of student make more money than the principal..." The production of Nitti on "Money Don't Matter" featuring Torica aims for a more mainstream feel as Gucci harmonizes a majority of the song. "That's My Hood" has him representing Atlanta's Zone 6 as he gives us a timeline for an entire day and his life on the third verse. On "Lawnmower Man" he balances skills and sense of humor with lyrics such as "...I'm getting fat / f*ck a jumping jack / Zay drop a track / the whole industry be jocking that..." Chanting "...gots to get it, gots to get it, gots to work my money up..." over the space age sound effects and hard kicks found on "Pyrex Pot" as he shows the life, prices and money of selling drugs. Crank it for Gucci's version of "White Tee" with "Black Tee" featuring Bun B, Lil Scrappy, Young Jeezy, Killa Mike & Jody Breeze as each emcee displays what they do wearing their black tee. The fast tempo "Corner Cuttin" featuring Khujo Goodie is another highlight for this LP as he questions and answers the question with repetition. "...I let my hater / be my motivator..." opens up the first verse as he shows you how to hustle on "Hustle". The Heatmakerz laced Gucci Mane with "Damn Shawty" featuring Young Snead with looped keys that keeps the flow of Gucci and the album on one accord. To end on an even greater note "Go Head" featuring Mac Bre-Z has one - two kick and simplistic key for a good club or stripper anthem. The real highlight of the song is found with its hook. He definitely took us through all rooms of the Trap House and the listener may want to reside there for a while. "...yeah, that's that beat knockin'..."

1 out of 5 stars ha ha ha, ho ho ho, hee hee hee!!!!!!!!!.......2006-05-04

This is pure comedy. A guy named " Gucci mane" created an album of pure and unadulterated bullsh#t. That takes a lot of talent Gucci I am proud of you. For you to be able to go in the booth and rap about diamonds, cars, girls, and shooting people is really original. Not to mention how your verses sound like a fourth grader ghost wrote your entire album. Please go get an application at wal mart.

1 out of 5 stars 100 percent TRASH.......2006-04-24

This cd is retarded the lyrics are childish this is suppose to be a GROWN ASS MAN. Rapping like a child. And the Icy songs what was he thinkin when he wrote this song. And for the guy who said this is the best he has ever heard ? I guess you would say Mc Hammer is the greastest rapper of all-time. Dont buy this garbage it's B***S**T.

4 out of 5 stars Really Good Album.......2006-04-09

This is a really good debut album by Gucci Mane, and a very underrated one at that. Maybe his music and lyrics aren't for everyone but if you like his style then you'll love this album. He just has a good flow and alot of comedy in his rhymes and i was just really feeling the album all the way through.

When i first heard Icy I thought Gucci mane was going to be anotha 1 hit wonder. But I was wrong he has came out very strong with dis debut album. Some of his lyrics are kind've corny but i think he's still a good rapper. Hes one of the best in the south.

      4 out of 5 stars That's Gangsta.......2005-05-27

When I first heard "So Icey", it had to be the corniest song I'd ever heard in my life. Star was playing it in New York over and over on his morning show. It started to grow on me, but the catchy hook didn't take away from the fact that the song was just wack.

I went on a trip to Georgia to handle some business. "So Icey" was the only song they was playing on the radio. It started to grow on me. Then I bumped into these guys in Lennox Mall, they was really ICEY. I seen the two baby blue 360 Modenas parked valet. These guys are the truth. How could I hate?

      I love that song now.

Now these guys try and rob Gucci and he bodied one of them. Thats what they get. He worked hard to get where he is, and you wanna try and take the little that he has away? He should have hit up more than one of them.

Hopefully he beats the case. But now let me get to my point.

What other rapper has KILLED anyone and its public?

Wow, he can brag all he wants now and be telling the truth. Now thats gangsta.

HAHAHA, sounds dumb, but thats rap for you.

      Gucci Mane, gotta love em.

            Album Description

Boobie trap began as the idea of Danny Commerford in 1997. After a brief rocky period and lineup changes, the band reemerged as a musical force in 2001 with the original release of the full-length "Hidden Agenda."

Though still a young act, Boobie Trap has had an exciting career thus far. They have played with many national acts, such as The Misfits, TSOL, 999, US Bombs, and The Cadillac Tramps. Boobie Trap's musical style mixes old school punk and today's modern pop sound to create their own unique and extremely energetic sound.

All members of Boobie Trap have experience playing with other music acts. The current lineup has played all over the United States and Europe with acts ranging from Dr. Know to Killer Instinct. Don't take our word for it, listen to what critics are saying about Boobie Trap:

Listen to "Hidden Agenda" and the in-your-face punk rock stylings of Boobie Trap...
