Really good Hip Hop album.......2006-09-28

Really dope album. Like 'Alkaholics' but better because solo album. Not bling bling at all but underground !!!! grab this one !

After hearing Q's high pitched, quick-fire delivery, aswell as his very capable production skills on both Arsonists albums i was interested to see how he would fair on his own. First off the lyrics are much more sinister+twisted in places (as you would expect from the Uncle Howie camp). The delivery is even more verocious and hungry, where he laments us about tales of the business, his troubled childhood, being so underestimated, becoming a father, his connections in the industry and the history of his group. With help from JUJU from the Beatnuts and NECRO, Q-Unique produces alot of the tracks with great results. There were afew tracks that i wasnt feeling but overall with tracks such as "Diamond in the Ruff", "One Shot", "Nature of the Beast", "Me, That's Who", "Ugly Place" (awesome), "Father's Day" (haunting+powerful), "Fashion Victims" and "Stone Cold" the quality of the album remains at a very high+entertaining level. Well worth copping. True skills and very tight beats.

Vengeance is Mine just is another example of how sick X-Raided is and how he's kept coming out with the sickest nor cal albums for a while even in the pen. He's a one of a kind rapper and this album is ... sick and it was a great return after releasing the unforgiving before it and this is one you've got to get to complete your X-Raided collection.

Coming from a person who has had this cd since the day it came out(and bumped it constantly). I can tell you this is well worth it. From the dark lyrics that X raided masterminds, to the mad beats(that you can only fully experience with some nice subwoofers.

I'm a big x raided fan but this cd wasn't very good for him. First off I dont like the beats, his lyrics are good but his voice sounds distorted because he's in the pen and I dont like how they did the voice over with him. Maybe he just wanted to try somthing different but I dont think it worked out for him. I liked his style on unforgiven. Favorite tracks are post war syndrum and who they wanna kill.

it was a so so album the reason i bought it was because q-strange was on it. for horrorcore standards it was pretty violent and graphic but porter kind of sounds like kid rock it wasnt bad but not the best

I simply can't allow myself to say anything good about this album. It's total crapola. I like Mentallo & The Fixer, and I'm certainly not trying to rip on the artist, but this album is just lame. By far one of the worst industrial albums. Don't start your Mentallo & The Fixer collection here.

I bought this cd because I already had 'Where Angels Fear to Tread' and I think it's one of the best electronic albums I own, and can compete with FLA and Puppy masterpieces.
Then I bought the last release by this band, and I was quite shocked by what I heard.
It's quite different from the album I already had. It's more techno, even though not abandoning at all the industrial sounds and structures (I would compare it to Cevin Key's Download, perhaps)
It seems the album is growing on me every time i listen to it, even though i think 'Where angels...' is much much better.
The songs are all sung, however, the voice is used almost as a companion to music, always submitted to it, not because it's very low, but because it gives the impression they had the music in mind and then they add the vocals to suit the ever changing rhythms and beats.
Some songs are quite danceable ('Palestine', 'All that your soul desires'), others are more ambient ('Like a carcass trodden down').. it is true that they get sometimes a bit repetitive, but in general the beats are changing enough not to get us tired. 'Cherished and Suppressed' is a very long piece, and a bit boring in my opinion. and I hate the voice in this song.
On the rest of the album, the voice sounds agressive but not usually distorted.
My favourite songs are, up to now, 'Like a Carcass trodden down', 'Shining one', or 'Judgment executed'. Others like 'The way of all flesh', 'Palestine' or 'Good for nothing' are also good but stmes a bit repetitiv and boring.
I prefer all Mentallo, especially 'Where angels fear to tread', except for the voice which i like most now. It seems by the number of reviews that this cd has not hit hard... fans were disappointed with the last Mentallo albums, and i can't say anything 'cos I haven't listened to those albums properly, but 'Vengeanse is Mine' deserves a listening, even if it's not wonderful, actually.
