Editorial Reviews
It's a queen's life for Mia X, the female lyrical don of the No Limit stable. More competent than nearly all of her camp mates, Mia was discovered by Master P in 1994 after a brief local recording career. Besides starring on the Tru classic "Bout It, Bout It II," Mia secured her rep with a 1995 debut album, Good Girl Gone Bad--but Unlady Like is the first album of hers to receive deserved mainstream acclaim. On "The Party Don't Stop," she more than holds her own against Foxy Brown, and on "Who Got the Clout," even the mighty Mystikal can't touch her. Unlady Like is that rare thing from No Limit--a consistent, satisfying album, end to end. --Jon Caramanica
