Oh! I love this man...he's so ******* honest...nothing need to be improved here...no fake jobs in the studios ..what you hear is what there is from the beginning...he never lets me down...my personal favorite is the Take Control album from '90..I love people who does not compromise...too many acts in the biz let others decide what to do...

Elegantly Lyrical!!.......2004-06-26
I bought the CD a few weeks ago and have listened to the entire CD so much, I hear the songs in my sleep! I LOVE each and every note and the accompanying musicians are awesome. I also bought a copy for a friend of mine who was not familiar with your music but now she is hooked.
"Woman of Color" is elegantly written and passionately performed. It just takes my breath away. It is truly one of my favorites. I have also fallen in love with "Eclectic Bohemian", "Unpredictable", "Ain't No Love" and "Absolutely Nothing".
Thanks, GT and crew for caressing the very core of women, romance and music. Congratulations on this timeless work of art!

real music and truth for your soul.......2003-11-27
No, we're not regal, not exotic, not other. We're beautiful! That's what the wonderful track "Woman of Color" is all about. Setting the standard and our world straight, Gary Taylor says he finds no peace without woman of color, so celebrate your beauty when you listen, and thank goodness Gary Taylor, Scotty Scott, and Will Downing, with their vocals together not to be missed, brought you the real word. Keith Fiddmont and that wonderful sax heard before on his previous cds seals the deal with his solo track version. The other musicians like Doc Powell, Dori Caymmi, Larry Kimpel, Rayford Griffin, and the rest, are perfectly fabulous together in this truth telling session. The tracks all flow, Can You Keep Your Promises, Unpredictable, Eclectic Bohemian, My Desire, Absolutely Nothing, and on and on. Out of all his CDs, he's turning a corner, great before, but now even better and seemingly more at peace with the direction he's taking. Real music not to be missed, from a man of great talent. Thank you, from this music lover, also a Woman of Color.
Very Sensual and Sexy.......2003-11-24
I liked this CD the first time I heard it. I have all of Gary Taylor's music and will be one of his fans for a very long time. A good way to describe this CD is as follows: When you are a single woman and it has been two years since you've had a relationship with a man, the music and the lyrics will awaken your senses and remind you that you're still a woman who has desires.

Sexy and sensual: the soundtrack of our lives.......2003-11-04
Heaven and earth come together in Mr. Taylor's latest cd, "Eclectic Bohemian". This richly textured cd comes packed with alot of riches. It has the contributions of great talents such as celebratory vocalists, Will Downing and Scotty Scott; engaging acoutic guitarists, Dori Caymmi and Doc Powell; and soothing sax from Keith Fiddmont, just to name a few. This synergy of artists is sure to guarantee brilliant reviews within the music community. The music could certainly stand alone without the collaboration of these extraordinary men. This brings me to the genius of Mr. Taylor. His raw lyrical honesty and seductive vocals have more depth than ever. He holds his heart in his hand! When it comes to the trials of love, Mr. Taylor puts on no pretense. There is no illusion as to who he is! The title track, "Eclectic Bohemian" defines this mysterious, compelling chanteuse. He appears to be at one with the world. We could all take a cue from his subtext about unconditional love. The measure of a person is the courage to find oneself. And he has taken time to explore this theme with quietly listening to his heart. He "needs to be the one to be free"...nothing can be more liberating than allowing people to "just be". Another track speaks playfully about superficial Hollywood hugs and non-love in "Absolutely Nothing".But where Mr. Taylor excells is in his musings about finding the love of his life. We're all looking for that. I speak for most female fans by saying we "feel him" and could satisfy your hunger for love! Not to be overlooked is his lovely, ode to "Women of Color". This track embodies a long overdue outpouring of love and emotion to the exotic women of the world. It is sure to be a classic. This cd will warm your heart and will not emotionally nor financially bankrupt you. Go and have a "love dance" with Mr. Taylor...

Product Description
This is a somewhat eclectic Steve and Kristi Nebel production from 2002.
The first song on the CD, "Harbor Island" features the dobro of Seattle dobro virtuoso, Orville Johnson.
'Steve`s
perceptive "Lillian`s World" was for me his strongest writing.' Bob Benbow, Leicester, UK
"Superman's Dilemma" is either modern country, or roots rock, depending on where you are coming from, and features the electric slide guitar of Orville Johnson, as well as fine piano work from the Nebel's old friend, Joe Debenedictis. Other songs included on this CD include; "On Fishermen", "I Guess It's Love", "Wish You Were Here Waltz", "My Home In Washington", and "Moses".
'the best thing you've ever put out "Alberta" is so good I wanna do it myself. The writing is sharp as a Gillette Twinedge. "Until the sky's as dark as one of old King George's jails" -- yes!' Thaddeus Spae

Album Description
The Bohemian Hillbillies' eclectic sound proudly acknowledges the Appalachian mountain roots from which it sprang, going beyond the limits of traditional forms to take the listener on a rocky, folky, even jazzy journey from the hills into mainstream America and the world beyond with real-life tales of love, loss, hope and faith.
Customer Reviews:
Billy Joel meets the Fugs in Oak Ridge, Tennessee!.......2005-07-30
I enjoyed the music and lyrics very much, just like one enjoys a gathering of friends having a conversation about life, the good, the bad and the ugly. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't a bit apprehensive. I'm getting too old and tired to be brooding. But the Bohemian Hillbillies' treatment of the subject of death is quite authentic, non-jarring, thoughtful, smile-inducing, and much more. I'm not an artist, musical or otherwise, just a consumer of art. I like what I like and I know why. I like people communicating. The Bohemian ones are some mighty smart hillbillies! I love the subtleties. At one point I chuckled at the emerging thought: Billy Joel meets the Fugs! Definitely "roots", in my opinion.
