I will Survive it was the best song i have never heard, and I like it so much. Even the song was in the movie called "The Replacements". I can tell you this is the best CD that you should get.

Some of you may get angry at me for saying that I only like one of Gloria Gaynor's song but.. i'm going to say it anyway. I only like I will Survive. It has easy lyrics and a beat that makes you want to dance. Buy the single instead.

Nice collection of hits in short version form.......2000-10-09

This new collection of Gloria Gaynor's greatest hits includes her major hits and some extras as well! The disc has been remastered and sounds great, but unfortunately the songs are around 3 minutes and under. For those who could care less about extended versions this collection is all you need. For those who want the ultimate collection buy The Gloria Gaynor Anthology 2 - cd set. This includes full length extended versions of all her hits!

Here she is! The Grammy Award winning, first lady of the dancefloor. This sweat-generating Millennium collection of GG gems, takes us through some of the lady's most memorable moments. Gloria and her then producers (including Meco 'Star Wars' Monardo) were the orginal pioneers of the disco beat, but its Gloria awesome vibrating voice that captivated our hearts, ears and feet back in the 70's and still does today. Michael Jackson made special note in a British interview of GG's version of Never Can Say Goodbye. He was impressed with the rythm in it. Not the versions you know and love.......2004-03-12

Gloria Gaynor has like 5 greatest/bestof/collection cds out there.

This specific cd has a slower version of "never can say goodbye" that is not as good as the ones I have heard on other cds

It also has 2 versions of "I will survive" and also as part of a medley on the last track. NONE of them are as good as the original. One of them is slow and is undanceable, the other 2 have a horible echo thing going on.

I strongly urge you to get a different greatest hits disc from Gloria Gaynor.

This CD is guarrenteed good! Buy this CD. The song I Will Survive is the best but there ARE others! This Cd has other good songs such as Reach Out I'll Be There and For You My Love. It also has a remix of the hit song I Will Survive. This CD is high qualtiy and is definitally a good CD for everyone.

Simply Awesome.......2000-06-13

As I said the album is simply awesome. I had been looking for a recording of the song, "I will Survive," and I finally found it. It is great. It is not the only great song on this album. There are many others. In fact there are 15 wonderful songs. But as with everything there is one problem. It sounds old. Like an old recording. But, anyway the album is well worth your money and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Has the hits, butchers them..........2006-07-22

Yes, Gloria Gaynor will survive to enjoy many more years of fame, but her hits have barely survived their club-ification on this "millennium versions" compilation. The unfortunate truth is that the producers of this album decided that they'd make these songs new again by adding some more 'punch,' which is what my best description for the techno beats underlaid these classic songs, adulterating their nostalgic charm. Sure, now they're club-appropriate, but they're no longer disco. I feel the urge to go around to record stores and label these discs, "File under dance/techno."

Not recommended. Try to find the real versions of these songs, ones that have "survived" intact.

Disco at its best.......2004-04-21

This compilation represents real value for money as it contains all of the disco diva's greatest hits: How High The Moon, Never Can Say Goodbye, I Am What I Am, Reach Out I'll Be There and the megahit I Will Survive. She had at least two other minor hits: Anybody Wanna Party and Let Me Know (I Have A Right) available on The Collection, an album that omits the song I Am What I Am. The ageless I Will Survive needs no description, but I Am What I Am is an equally rousing, anthemic song that affirms self-esteem and belief in oneself. Gaynor puts lots of energy into the Motown classics Reach Out I'll Be There and Never Can Say Goodbye, turning them into dancefloor delights with her powerful voice over the boom boom boom of the disco beat. Although Gloria Gaynor didn't have as many hits as Donna Summer or the same underground cult appeal as Grace Jones, she remains one of the archetypical disco queens whose aforementioned hits have stood the test of time very well. I recommend this album if you want to have the absolute best of this remarkable singer from the 1970s.

This is not a new product for friends of Gloria.......2001-02-20

This new album is not new production, it's has been released in Europe in 1992. Total length about 42 minutes, if you have got the album before, no need to buy. I just return it back to record shop today. The production for this 'album' is not very good, for Club hits' fans, won't satisfy.
