I've owned this recording on LP and CD as well as several others of Johnny's. This is his very best recording. One reason why this CD is exceptional is the brilliant driving drumming of New Orleans' own John Vidacovich. It's not to be missed.

Sadly unrepresented on CD Percy Mayfield is one of the greatest writers in R&B (he wrote 'Hit The Road Jack' for Ray Charles). This album contains eleven Percy compositions including 'The Danger Zone' and a version of 'Please Send Me Someone To Love' recorded by a multitude of artists from B.B. King to Sade. 2001.
