Strong Enough For A Man, And Also Tough From A Woman.......2006-05-04

I definitely adore Toni Braxton. She is one of the very few performers who definitely still has the elegance, and the feeling that very few performers still have maintained. Her 2000 single He Wasn't Man Enough, the first single from her record The Heat, is a very upbeat and powerful song. Her voice on this track is really proof she still has the toughness, and appeal she still is graciously known for. This was one of my favorite songs from 2000. I just hope people keep enjoying her great tracks like this one. I just hope Toni pulls off another great R&B song like this one again.

yeah, yeah, she has one good song so they decide to put it on there three times and barely change it and charge you ten bucks, I mean, is that supposed to be a joke? Why pay ten bucks for a song when you can download it free, and then burn it, you'd think record companies would catch on

What a dumb song........2000-12-06

What this song amounts to, basically, is another "advertisment" for Darkchild; the producer Rodney Jenkins. While Jenkins is a good producer, must he say--or have his name said --in the song? This was what Puffy did and now he is gone. And I was never thrilled with him and his materialistic boasting all up in the song. He really spoiled Faith Evans song All Night Long doing that.

Now about the song and Toni Braxton; This song is a backward step for Mrs. Braxton who has paid her dues with her debut album. This song seems like something the yet mature TLC would do aside from that No Scrubs garbage they put out a couple years back. Toni Braxton is of a higher caliber than this.

Note; this cd single has a David Morales radio mix for You're Making Me High, a butt-kicker from 1996. Short and sweet and to the point.

Sexy and hot is what I can say to the talented Ms. Braxton! The song "He Wasn't Man Enough" is really sexy. So here's the tracklisting of the CD... 1. You're Makin' Me High (Classic Edit) --- a remix to the '96 hit of the same title. A great party mix! 3. He Wasn't Man Enough (Extended Version) --- a remix to lengthen the great title track! It's just added with another chorus and a couple of few instrumentals. 4. He Wasn't Man Enough (Video Version) --- I really thought that this was an audio track. I wish Toni Braxton Would Do more Dance-Uptempo tracks than those boring by the numbers slow Diane Warren Songs.you hear her voice best in this setting.I would Love for her to get Her Donna Summer's on.She has that Vibe.

Toni Braxton is definitely showing her musical skills on this new album, she is really back in the business after a long vacation. I have been waiting for her to come back and this album is everything I have wished for in a new album from one of the best singers of all time.

I don't know about you, but I've missed Toni Braxton in the four years since her last album Secrets (which is a great CD, by the way), so naturally I jumped at the chance to buy this import, even though it was kind of expensive for only a few songs. But I found when I listened to it that it was money well spent because the song is awesome! It proves that Braxton isn't just a two - album wonder and she sings so beautifully on it. Definitely worth it!

but she had to SIMPLY let him go. Not because she is ALL that (she is da bomb with that $2000 hair weave, LOL) but she is confident that "HE" was not man enough for her! And as she sings sultry and soulful, she tells the "chick" she "aint even thinkin about him" anymore but at the same time tells her to beware because TONI knows what he is ALL ABOUT! "It time to know the truth" is what she says. It is song that warns all females to beware and stop trying to fight the other woman and focus on the "MAN" they are with. Toni sings about it with style and soul. This song is amusing but at the same time opens the album up with a good start. It's the only real good song on her album. Good lyrics and she sings in the typical Toni Braxton style we come to know and love. The beats are mid-tempo and laid back. Good for driving in the car or chillin at home! Women after listening to this song she be askin themselves "What are we thinkin'. Where has "he" been?" LOL Buyin' Toni some new hair..thats where! BUY BUY BUY!

This new song is great! I just love how deep her voice is. She really has it going on. And to all of the people who feel she will loose her core audience, think again! She still has the same sultry vocals that drew them in the first place. She isn't trying to be young on this album, she is being contemporay, changing with the times. This song isn't her trying to act young, (although is still is very young), this is her relating to life. I know I can relate to this song.

Can Toni Take "The Heat?".......2000-04-23

Not since the days of Stock Aitken Waterman has a producer enjoyed as much popularity as Rodney Jerkins. Unfortunately, like Stock Aitken Waterman, Rodney Jerkins' work is patented and predictable, making his musical longevity seem as unlikely as a Jackson 5 reunion. Jerkins' work on Brandy & Monica's "The Boy Is Mine" put him on the map and his recent collaboration with Destiny's Child, "Say My Name," produced a No.1 single. However, when a respected artist like Toni Braxton asks him to produce her latest studio effort, THE HEAT, it appears she has become an imitator, not an innovator. Au contraire. While Jerkins' production is dull and unimaginative, Toni Braxton's sultry vocals make this slinky single delicious ear candy. While the tune hasn't convinced me to take to THE HEAT, we can certainly expected greater things in the future from this divine diva.

This song in my opinion has that tropical island sound. If you listen carefully to the instrumental, you will notice a brief steel drum cut in the second verse.
