The Brides were not as funky as you would think their title suggested, but they could hold their own. They were actually more conservative in their funk, but still very soulful. The two ladies did get the job done!!! I gave this four stars because their studio recordings were a little more funkier than the live recording.

the bomb best chance to hear the original 2 brides in concert, dawn, and lynn rock. i love birdie blackbyrd blazed the guitar in a moggotizing sort of way, and the dancec with love- i wanna dance with love that caught me. ride on is tight, vanish in our sleep was done nicely a classy number that was. together was sung nicely- love the vocals throughout this cd, then disco to go was funky thasnks to the horny horns for making this funky, this was the bomb p-funk fans get this.

... this should have came out years ago. excellent singing, by both dawn, and lynn, superb work by blackbyrd, and thr horny horns, please get this cd for a live performance by the original 2 brides, for hardcore p funk fans only. tight as ...like i said everything excellent.

Just found out that this live CD was available... It's fantastic, hearing the Brides of Funkenstein again, after all this time! "Ride On", "Together", and "Disco to Go" are standouts. Get this CD!

Before now, I really had no idea that ANY of the Brides' previous music was available on CD. Wow... Am *I* glad that I discovered THIS release, here!

Hearing such cuts as "Birdie", "Ride On", and "Disco To Go" took me WAY back, I began to dance (for real, again!...) and... OH, what great memories, too! If you are down with the FUNK, this is an excellent choice for your collection.

My recommendation:

GO & GET THIS CD!
