"Snow (Hey Oh)" is the third single from "Stadium Arcadium". One of the strongest songs from the album, Warner Bros. chose to release the single in two parts-- the first with one b-side, the second with two.

The title track itself really is one of the great Chili Peppers pieces-- featuring a delicate, speed picked guitar line and a loping, deeply grooved bassline on the verses and a driven, almost forceful chorus, it also has the pleasure of finding vocalist Anthony Kiedis in his best form, setting up a fine mood and a pretty, delicate melody that stands up on its own with no difficulty.

The b-side for part 1 is a track called "Permutation", recorded live in Montreal. It's the sort of live jam that fills a lot of the Chili Peppers singles-- Flea lays down some nice chordal work over which John Frusciante solos and a couple minutes through, they reverse the trend before both soloing together, twisting about each other. It's a decent enough jam and both Flea and Frusciante play nicely, but quite frankly for the cash I ponied up for the single, I'm kind of annoyed this is all I got.

I can't really give this less than two stars-- "Snow" is a really strong track, but the fact is, this is of limited value. If you need to have it, by all means, get it, but at least know what you're getting.

Light hearted dance pop from the ones who brought you Barbie Girl! Forget about talent and who did or didn't write the song. Do we care if Robert Dinerio does his own stunts? Do we care if the quarterback of our favorite football teams don't plan out the strategy? We enjoy the outcome.

Come on and have a fun time with this amusment song. Perhaps the most fun version is the Disco 70's Mix.

A nice new 3 track single from my boys Andy Bell and Vince Clarke in honor of releasing Hits! This Uk single is a nice treat considering what an aweful release Hits is, this is the best choice! Here's what you get!

Oh L'Amour (August Mix) - a nice version of Oh L'Amour but a little guitar heavy in my opinion. I still don't know whats up with all the guitar music in Erasure as of late, it just doesn't seem right to me. Maybe this is meant to be radio friendly. It's not a bad new mix of this classic! B

Love Me All Night Long - first new song and a utter shame this isn't going to be on an album or be a single in it's own right. It's a great song with some minor problems lyrically that could have been reworked. Andy's vocals are mellow and there is some light guitar which works in here. A-

Nothing Lasts Forever - some say a typical bside and maybe it is because of Andy's kinda funky falsetto on this but Vince's bleeps are in fine form on this and at first while I was mortified..it has grown on me! Neat! B

A nice little 3 track present. I would pick this up! Good for fans and casual Erasure listener alike!
