Guaranteed to make you dance.......2005-12-17

Faith Evans has had a rather boring (?) solo career up until now, probably been better known for once being married to the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. than anything else. But wait until you hear this record! I've never heard of the "Freemasons" as DJs before, but their disco-tinged house remix of Faith Evans' very soulful "Mesmerized" was by far one of the biggest club mixes of 2005. Guaranteed to fill a dance floor in seconds. I hope we get to hear more of this from Faith, and more of this from the Freemasons down the road!

Disenchanted.......2005-10-22

I heard this song on the radio this morning and it really annoyed the he11 out of me. "Mesmerized" is a weak attempt to come across as some type of funkadelic neo-soul. If you listen to the song closely, you can hear familiar melodies and phrases taken from old and new R&B songs. I heard the O'Jays, James Brown, and Beyonce all obviously patched together by force to make this hot mess called "Mesmerized." This song is a joke and I'm very disappointed in Faith for putting out this watered-down karaoke soul. Even Joss Stone wouldn't have sang anything *this* awful.

THE HOTTEST DANCE TRACK OF THE YEAR!!!!!.......2005-10-20

I have never really been into Faith's music before, had a few songs that were kinda catchy to me. But the moment I heard the "Freemasons Remix" at a club, I WAS HOOKED!!! The Freemasons mix is extremely moving, there is no way you cannot want to get up and dance to this track. Faiths powerful, soulful vocals combined with Freemasons infectious energy come together to create a track that moves me like nothing has since "Lola's Theme" by Shape UK. Once this mix really gets out there it is going to burn up the clubs like no other track has this year, so far...

This cd is worth picking up especially for the price and if you are like me and want to get all of your favorite bands cds. The only downside causing me to give it 4 stars are the remixes which are awful. But besides that the other non-remixe songs are great. Get this and their others if you are a new fan or a long time one.

What's with the remixes?.......2004-02-10

Alright the first 3 songs are very good. A little heavier than what you would've heard from Burial, but basically, musically, not much of a change. This is where they make the transition from meliodic deathmetal to progressive deathmetal. This is nowhere near as good as Burial or Undeceived, but it is better than Synergy, but like I said before, if you buy Extol, ya get em all!

This cd is so brutal, yet melodic and gracefull. I gave it a 5 based on the fact that im not counting the remixes which are awful pieses ..., they shouldnt of bothered to put them on here, but otherwise this is an awsome cd. \m/ metal

Trixmot.......2003-06-07

There are really only three tracks on this CD. The other 3 are remixes that you will never want to listen to more then once. The first three tracks have a somewhat raw sound compared to their newer stuff. The remixes would not be bad if they would have left out the static and buzz sounds. The CD is not bad since the price is fairly cheap. You will like the two full lengths CD's much better.

Not so fantastic. There are a couple of good tracks like "Sawdust Scatter" which is actually one of the rare moments that BTFABG actually "rock out" a little, but otherwise Mesmerized is nothing special.

Good etheral music.......2000-04-19

Black tapes music i basicaly ambiental synthbackgrounds together with accoustik instruments and beautifull male and female singing. Always emotional and melancholic. But this is one of black tapes happier albums , and it has more of an 80's feeling too it. It's wery good slow beautiful music , higly recomended....thoug it should not be classified as Goth ! Black tape is Etheral!

Moving through the Northern night woods with grim hate and battle axe - hail DiABOLI!!. This is a raw, dark as eclipse, holocaust black metal that doesn't let down. Amazing effort blending Bathory and late Mayhem/burzum to create a masterpiece of what should be considered "true black metal" blasting attack, stepped in Satanic overtones with Nordic coldness and hate. Straight forward, no females, no keyboards, no BS! hail Satan! get Mesmerized by Darkness or piss off and die with Christ's balls in your mouth.
