What goes around comes around ambient. That's the message from a third generation of electronica artists who were just leaving the womb when Brian Eno's early works were being diffused in the 1970s. They were barely teens when the Orb rolled forth in the '90s. But new artists like Boards of Canada, the Album Leaf, and Explosions in the Sky are taking those early ambient primers and adding geometries of glitch and dream guitar to the mix, creating a melodic brand of ethereal music with an edge. Marconi Union, a Manchester duo, follow suit on a CD that travels in cinematic melancholy and textural malaise. Their songs build slowly, emerging out of a flattened landscape of static and stillness to attain a quietly triumphal beauty. Percussion is almost subliminal in journeys that pulse more than groove. It sometimes gets ominous, with an ostinato bass growl prowling through a Blade Runner landscape on "Inter." But usually they generate a quiet awe, like the slow build of "Sleepless." Expect to hear tracks from Distance in soundtracks and commercials near you soon. --John Diliberto

Album Description

Marconi Union is a reclusive electronic duo from Manchester, England. Their sound has been described as "a post rock cinematic orchestra." Distance, their first U.S. release, is unique, individual and timeless, fusing acoustic sounds, strings and pianos with electronica, post-rock guitars and even occasional nods towards jazz and dub. Described by the band as "a soundtrack to a film that has not yet been made," listening to Distance evokes the feeling of being driven silently around an unknown city at night, observing the activity and life of the urban sprawl in safety and isolation.

5 out of 5 stars re: Celestial Melodies Great Work Album.......2007-06-22

This album resonates with beauty... the music provides you with a very thought provoking journey. If you want to transcend your current time and place, just put this album on and you will be transported by the delicate yet etheral melodies.. it is an album with tremendous beauty. I cannot recommend a album more, it relaxes me and gives me insight into what I am doing. Absolutely fantastic album to listen to while at work...

5 out of 5 stars The Interpretation of Dreams.......2007-04-30

At the end of the previous century, Brian Eno's genius, expressed through his various ambient works, set an insurmountable barrier for those that they chose to follow his pattern. To put it bluntly, he set a standard that nobody managed even to come near to. (Maybe his brother came close, but he was still lacking Brian's imagination and mood to discover).

All these until Marconi Union and their Distance work. Dreamy atmosphere, almost psychoanalytic, moving in all senses. A perfect link to Eno's Music For Films sequel. A perfect step towards ambient fulfillment.

It is really hopeful that such groups exist and needless to say, we are truly looking forward to their next work.

5 out of 5 stars Energy transfer.......2007-02-13

There is an exhange of energy that takes place for me when I listen to Distance. Not only do I experience de-stressing and decompression, there also comes a palpable energy transfer while listening to these selections.

The first step in the transfer is the way Distance draws the toxicity of my day out of me, leaving me pleasantly drained. The second step of the process, then, is how the movement within each track subtly softens and salves the chisel-bitten edges of my consciousness. In the third step, as fresh fluid trickles in, I am refilled and renewed.

After a day of dying little, moment-by-moment deaths, Distance breathes life back into me, slowly, slowly, and almost imperceptibly.

If you have ragged edges, if you have wounds, this can be a balm for you.

4 out of 5 stars Very Soothing.......2007-01-24

Nice Album! Very peaceful textures that are perfect for relaxing/Yoga/Meditation etc. I would not consider this New Age, it's more modern Ambient with some modern electronics. There are quite a bit of interesting sounds here even guitars. The product description here says: "a Manchester duo, follow suit on a CD that travels in cinematic melancholy and textural malaise. Their songs build slowly, emerging out of a flattened landscape of static and stillness to attain a quietly triumphal beauty. Percussion is almost subliminal in journeys that pulse more than groove" I think that is a very good way of describing this album. Good Stuff.

5 out of 5 stars Urban Longing.......2007-01-24

Marconi Union's Distance album is a warm embrace of ambient textures with drifting melodies and haunting memories filled with dreamy longings. If you can't sleep, put this in your CD player/stereo and climb into a warm bath. The music is well suited to relaxation, reading late at night or simply dissolving into a memorable mood.

"Through Glass" is more sensuous, while "Buildings and People" has a more luminous trajectory with the feeling that a city has been left completely empty, it is almost haunting in beauty. "A Temporary Life" has shy jazz flourishes, but overall seems to be melting into the night.

The urban moods build on each other until you feel completely relaxed. This album has hints of places you like to be and it seems to call you to distant locations where you'd like to spend more time dreaming.

5 out of 5 stars Great Compulation at a Bargin Price.......2007-01-16

Just added this to an order for fun, I enjoy ultra modern music, but not new age, what a miss nomer. I have researched and purchased additional music because of the selects on this CD.

4 out of 5 stars Great Representation.......2007-01-10

"Compounds" is a great representation of this label's acts. I especially liked the John Cale numbers, and of course Eno's contribution. Particularly interesting was Vacabou. All in all,a very good collection and a good buy.

5 out of 5 stars A True Bargain.......2006-08-18

I bought "Distance" by Marconi Union and had this CD as part of the package. I couldn't believe that it was only $2.99, and after listening to it, I still don't believe that it was going for that price. This is an excellent array of talent on a sampler CD, worth many times the price, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to find out what All Saints records is all about.

4 out of 5 stars Cheap, Good..........2006-06-21

Some of the highlights on this compilation are the Eno tracks from The Drop, Nerve Net, and The Shutov Assembly. The non-Eno tracks are consistently good as well, particularly Budd's track from The White Arcades. For a sampler, the album has a really good sequence to it. It has a sort of This Mortal Coil effect on you, where every track is unique but it adds up to a consistent whole. Aural Wallpaper indeed.

5 out of 5 stars Essential ambient music, past and present........2006-06-04

This is a fascinating guide to ambient music, past and future. All the major innovators of the genre are present, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Jon Hassell and John Cale demonstrate their own unique talents over an array of classic tracks drawn from the All Saints Records back catalogue. However, this is only part of the story, after an extended period of silence All Saints have recently begun releasing albums by new acts and Compounds showcases tracks by two of their recent discoveries including the highly acclaimed, Marconi Union, who contribute their dazzling track, Sleepless to the album, and effectively map out their vision of future directions for this music, while demonstrating just why they are being seen as important new voices on the European electrionic music scene. Alongside this Spanish duo Vacabou add their beguiling brand of trip-hop to the mix and we are left with the sense that ambient music is alive, well and flourishing in safe hands.

4 out of 5 stars Very pleased.......2007-06-10

I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this CD. True, I could have listened on line before buying but that would have taken the fun out of the purchase. Besides, I really didn't care for the CD the first couple of times I listened but now I really love it. It's not something to listen to all the time but given the right circumstances e.g. a small gathering of friends, it's perfect. If I'd listened to online, I wouldn't have purchased it.

5 out of 5 stars Sumptuous and mellow.......2002-11-28

The six men of the King's Singers present sweet and light-hearted madrigals of such English composers as Morley, Weelkes, Dowland, Wilbye and Byrd. The thirty five selections include "Now is the Month of Maying", "Though Philomela Lost Her Love", "Sing We and Chant It," the celebration of tobacco entitled "Come, Sirrah Jack, Ho!" and a host of other fa-la-la-la-la venues interspersed with wistful laments. I love the rich, sonorous sound of a male vocal ensemble, with countertenors, tenor, baritones and bass, and these six singers do a great job. Occasional instrumental accompaniments by lute and tabor are included, but this group doesn't really need it--I could listen to them for hours all by themselves. Also quite enjoyable, as well as educational, is their earlier release, "The King's Singers' Madrigal History Tour: Italy, England, France, Spain and Germany". For a more risque' take on the vocal music of Renaissance England, you might get a kick out of "The Art of the Bawdy Song" by the Baltimore Consort with the Merry Companions.

5 out of 5 stars One of the Best Collections of English Madrigals.......2002-03-27

Any fan of the King's Singers will regret not having this album in their collection.

This album offers a veritable feast of the choicest English madrigals found on any comparable album. From the obligatory "Now is the Month of Maying" and "Fair Phyllis" to the more obscure "Tan ta ra, cries Mars," there is certainly enough on this album to bring a smile to lovers of Renaissance music - and a spark of recognition to anyone who sang traditional madrigals in high school or university. For serious students of early music, this album comes very highly recommended.

Among the more sonorous offerings on this album, Jones' "Farewell, Dear Love" and Dowland's "Come Again," cannot be ignored. Nor can Bennet's immortal "Weep O mine eyes" be matched more musically than here by the King's Singers.

This album has been played again and again for almost 6 years as both serious listening and background working music. And it has yet to lose its delight.

4 out of 5 stars A Delightful Collection of English Madrigal.......2000-08-16

With 35 tracts to enjoy you're sure to find a couple of favorites. I gave this CD 4 of 5 stars compared to 5 stars for the King's Singers World Madrigal Tour CD. If you prefer all your songs in English, this will be your 5 star CD. Tract 32 "Come again" is my favorite due to the surperb tenor lead and melodic development. Compared to many polyphonic early music styles (1300s-1485), this era (1500-1610) provides many memorable melodies.

4 out of 5 stars A wide variety.......2000-04-28

This is an excellent sampling of English madrigals. This presentation, given by an older roster of the Singers, is a nice introduction to the world of the madrigal, and English madrigals in particular.

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful.......2007-06-14

This CD is a must have for any Mormon Tabernacle Choir fans. The music is very reverent and gentle, and should also appeal to those not from the LDS church, seeing as how most of the music is common to the wider Christian community. This CD is a fantastic addition to any music collection.

3 out of 5 stars A few bright spots, but also some disappointments.......2007-01-19

It Is Well With My Soul is one of my favorite-favorites and that is the main reason why I bought the CD; it turned out to be a huge let down on this album, they rearranged it so much that I almost didn't recognize it. Be Still My Soul is another reason why I bought it and it's good, but not great. Swing Low Sweet Chariot is where it starts to get good. The last two songs "Thou Gracious God, Whose Mercy Lends"
and "Come, Let Us Anew" are very good reasons to buy this CD, they each have truely powerful passages and make the CD worth having. The Mormon Tabernacle Choirs 2006 release entitled Then Sings My Soul is by far the best that I've heard from them.

5 out of 5 stars This CD Deserves SIX Stars!.......2005-11-05

However, the rating scale has a limit of five. I own over 700 CDs of virtually every type of music. Peace Like A River belongs in a class by itself! I've never written a review before but, after listening to this STUNNING performance by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, I feel compelled to share my praise with that of the five other reviewers. If I were limited to one word, I would use the word "SUPERB" to describe this beautiful and moving CD. SIX stars for Peace Like a River! BRAVO!!!

5 out of 5 stars every good adjective .......2005-08-06

This album is all beauty and solace. The singing is pristine, the arrangements lush and often stirring--never saccharine. As with the previous reviewer, my first listing of "Peace Like a River" brought me to tears (especially "Peace Like a River," the sopranos in "Swing Low," and the bagpipes in "Thou Gracious God"). Buy this one.

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous!.......2005-05-29

The perfect recording to help you recover from a long, hard day. Showcasing the MTC's "new" sound in contemporary choral arrangements with its own orchestra and conductor, "Peace Like a River" brought tears to my eyes in selection after selection during my first listen -- and I'm not normally an emotional person! The title song together with "Deep River," "Swing Low" and "Be Still My Soul" are alone worth the cost of the recording. Get this one!

Album Description

Recorded at Brian's Wilderness studios, Eno comes close to the style of Another Green World. Cale is as catchy as he's been since Honi Soit. The result is one of the best albums either one has ever made. This long-awaited re-issue has bonus tracks, new artwork, complete lyrics and extended liner notes.

Album Description

Brian Eno and John Cale first collaborated when Eno produced Cale's Words For The Dying, an album that features orchestral settings of Dylan Thomas poems, solo piano pieces, and one quasi-pop song, 'The Soul of Carmen Miranda'. The pair enjoyed that last track so much that Eno ended his 12-year sabbatical from song-based music and, with Cale, quickly wrote and recorded this excellent album of intelligent yet heartfelt pop songs. Unlike most of Eno's collaborations, his ideas don't dominate Wrong Way Up. Vocals and lyrics are split about evenly between Eno and Cale, as exemplified by the hypnotic 'One Word', which features both men simultaneously singing two entirely different sets of lyrics. Two Cale songs are the twin centerpieces, the ominous 'Cordoba' and the surprising and wonderful sing-along 'Been There, Done That', but the album ends with a skeletal Eno masterwork, 'The River' which makes one wish he'd returned to pop music earlier. Quite poppy for the two and very enjoyable, this 2005 reissue was originally released in 1990 & features 12 total tracks including the 2 bonus tracks 'Grandfather's House' & 'You Don't Miss Your Water'. Rykodisc.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars 4 1/2 Stars: Strong Collaboration.......2007-04-16

Working together for the first time in years, Eno produced John Cale's Words for the Dying in 1989; the following year, Eno found himself unexpectedly inclined to resume singing, and the two collaborated on an album. For all the things a joint effort by the two could have been, it's a small miracle that Wrong Way Up turned out to be an absolutely wonderful pop record, a subversion of Top 40 formulae to the pair's own idiosyncratic (but utterly accessible) ends. Blending Eno's ambience and Cale's classical lyricism, as well as the pair's contrasting voices (and capturing the whole thing in a masterfully subtle studio effort), Wrong Way Up is a marvel, a tuneful and catchy collection whose instant likability belies its highbrow origins (not to mention the partners' reported disharmony, reflected in the cover art's dagger graphics). It's hard to remember when either Cale or Eno has sounded happier or warmer, and their co-writing has an easy, relaxed feel. With the American Southwest surfacing as a repeated theme in such songs as the rollicking "Crime in the Desert" and "The River," variations in the partnership's balance keep the album in constant stylistic motion. "In the Backroom," the irresistible "Been There, Done That" and "Spinning Away" take their cues from three different decades of R&B, while "Lay My Love" and "One Word" follow that same dance-pop arc into the technologized present. The remastered sound is an improvement over the original release and the bonus tracks are fine additions, but not essential. If you are an Eno fan try to find the promo CD put out by Opal/Warner Brothers at the time of this release, titled 'Words and Music from Wrong Way Up'. It's difficult to find but well worth the effort. He discusses each song, as well as his working relationship with John Cale. There are lots of fascinating tidbits and insights, such as how the death of his father and birth of his daughter gave him a different outlook on his life and music. I find myself listening to the promo CD, which also includes six of the songs, more than the official release.

5 out of 5 stars One of the most underrated ever.......2007-01-25

This has to be one of the most surprising, uplifting albums ever made. It's not simple and needs some perseverence but you'll find it very textured and endlessly listenable. It's a true original. Can't recommend it highly enough.

5 out of 5 stars One of my all-time favorites.......2006-12-02

I don't usually buy reissues, but when I saw this one, I had to have it. I bought the original when it first came out and I can truly say it is one of the few recordings that I listen to, year after year.

I normally like to be challenged by a recording - that is, if it is too "instantly likeable", I get tired of it quickly. This recording is definitely an exception to that rule. I remember hearing one of the tracks on radio, turning it up toward the end to hear who the artists were. I went out, bought it and loved it from the first listen. The variety of styles and lyrics (and moods created) conjure up images in my mind that, by the end, make me feel like I've watched a movie, not just listened to a CD. The melodies are catchy, but not "hooky".

The reissue sounds even better.....or maybe I'm just listening more intently. In any case, it's a winner.

John Cale seems to be at his best in collaboration with other artists. Check out "Songs for Drella" (with Lou Reed from 1990). Although totally different from Wrong Side Up, it is a great listen, too.

5 out of 5 stars An all-too-easy to neglect masterpiece.......2006-10-19

I'm somewhat ashamed that I only recently discovered this album for the first time. I've long liked and frequently adored John Cale and always loved Brian Eno, so I can't explain why this collaboration between the two of them didn't grab me when this first came out. My only excuse is that there are only so many hours in the day and so many days in the week. A few gems are always going to slip one by.

This album is somewhat surprising when given the pairing of Eno and Cale. Though neither is always inaccessible and both have at times produced some music that is almost popular in approach, who would have imagined that the two together would have brought out their purest pop tendencies? There is nothing here that smacks of difficult or avant-garde. This isn't Top 40 pop, but it is wonderfully accessible stuff, as if their intent is to delight the most resistant hearer. Not that it is musically simplistic. Far from it. One just has to pay some attention to the wonderfully contrapuntal rhythms interlacing "Spinning Away" to understand that these are masterful musicians. Both performers have done better work than this, but neither has done so frequently. I'd rank this near the best work that either has done. For Cale, I'd put this slightly behind such albums as PARIS 1919, VINTAGE VIOLENCE, HELEN OF TROY, and SLOW DAZZLE, while it is very nearly as good as Eno's four vocal albums (TAKING TIGER MOUNTAIN BY STRATEGY, HERE COME THE WARM JETS, ANOTHER GREEN WORLD, and BEFORE AND AFTER SCIENCE) and his collaboration with David Byrne, MY LIFE IN THE BUSH OF GHOSTS. I can't imagine a fan of Cale or of the vocal work of Eno (some who are exclusively ambient fans may feel differently) not almost instantly adoring this album.

Though a couple of songs go a bit darker than the others (for instance, the wonderful Cale number "Cordoba" or the slow, near-cowboy ballad "The River" that ends the album), for the most part these are bright, upbeat, fast tempo numbers. Almost every song on the disc is at least entertaining, but my three favorites are probably the aforementioned "Cordoba" and "Spinning Away" (which I got on a kick with and must have played thirty times in a row), as well as the song that kicks the album off, "Lay My Love." For those who are unfamiliar with both Brian Eno and John Cale, this provides a wonderful introduction to each, though the music as a whole is more typical of Eno's other work than Cale's. But for those unfamiliar with the disc but not the performers, this will be a wonderful surprise.

5 out of 5 stars an updated review for an updated album.......2006-08-04

I've already posted a review for the original issue of this disc, and I grappled for some time with the thought of purchasing the reissue. In Canada this is not a common cd to find, but upon seeing it being sold on a recent trip to London, I decided to snatch it up. I had no qualms about buying such a wonderful album twice, especially if there were bonus tracks and remastered sound. I must first say the new sound blows away the original cd release, giving me a new appreciation for what I already considered a fantastic album. So whether you're new to this album or have played it to death all the while never getting enough, this re-release is for you. The songs are about as close as clever and catchy music may ever come to each other, making for an album that is both accesible and deep to get into it. As for the questions concerning the bonus tracks, my disc came with the tracks listed by Amazon, unlike the other reviewers here (possibly because they reference the European release for track listings). They are both excellent and a pleasure to listen to, though not an essential addition to the album itself (what else could really make it better, anyways?)

5 out of 5 stars The Better of the two.......2006-06-03

I have both disc in the series. I liked the music on this disc much more than the first. The selections seem more focused and the sounds are much clearer. Also, the particular pieces fit better together. I love the sound of this group and hope they make more in the future.

3 out of 5 stars Not as good as version 1 in this series.......2004-09-03

This is by the same group who did the wonderful & engaging Early American Choral Music 1. Somehow this CD did not live up to its predecessor in some ways. The performance is still top notch, but somehow the CD as a whole isn't quite as engaging to listen to as the first. Perhaps version 2's strength is also its weakness. Its diversity of composers allows you to pear past the shadow of William Billings and sample other notable early American hymn writers. That exposure is valuable & appreciated. I just couldn't get into it as much.

A final note: many of the texts are beautiful (and available from the publisher's web site). However, I would criticize "Who is this that cometh from Edom?" as dwelling just a bit too much on the Jews' rejection of Jesus. Among other reasons & issues, Christianity says that we are all sinners & there is no cause to single a particular group out negatively.

4 out of 5 stars Same as 'Goostly Psalmes: Anglo-American Psalmody 1550-1800'.......2004-02-21

Please note this CD is a duplicate of His Majestie's Clerkes's "Goostly Psalmes: Anglo-American Psalmody 1550-1800" -- identical contents but a different name and cover. I ordered both and was irritated to discover this. This CD is cheaper, so I recommend this one. It is a lovely choral work from a little-known period of sacred music.

5 out of 5 stars Theology from the 18th century, Tunes from the 21st century.......2004-04-05

Excellent collection of ancient hymns in contemporary music, the third album done by Indelible Grace from Belmont University's RUF group. The church needs LOTS more of this. Awesome.

5 out of 5 stars SAME BASE CURVE, BUT BETTER.......2004-01-21

It's an outstanding idea -- take the older hymns with their solid lyrical content (rather than what amounts to mindless fluffy repetitions in many modern praise-worship choruses) and wed the content with folk-rock music (not hard rock, or rock-n-roll!) played and sung by talented artists, and you have a work that engages both mind and heart. Everybody who's heard this CD -- Christians, non-Christians, pre-teens, teens, young adults, etc. -- responds somewhere between really liking it and raving about it. This CD is like the first two, with the same "base curve," but it expands upon the musical concepts offered in the first two works and is in my opinion the best one yet. It plays on my car CD player constantly. You will throughly ENJOY this well-produced, engaging CD!

4 out of 5 stars Solid third entry.......2004-01-01

This the third entry in the Indelible Grace series has a more somber feel than the previous projects. Though somber and serious the disk isn't oppressive in its theme. Rather it points us to Christ in the midst of our brokenness. As far as musical style this disk has more in common with the first cd in the series, (less of the rootsy, Americana feel found on the second cd). Overall a nice, cohesive cd that stands up well with the rest of the series.

5 out of 5 stars An Antti Keisala Comment: But For The Lack of Courage.......2007-02-04

Gosh, how there are few albums that take you by surprise, when you know in some peculiar detail the things you are looking for, and find them in strange places and then some more.

I know that I was looking for some honesty, which is a strange occurence in art. By honesty we often mean the lack of irony or ambiguity, any ambivalence or friction. By honesty we often mean soulfulness that is naked and pale, approaching you directly without any preconceptions, without trying to reach your soul too abruptly; it isn't trying, and it lets us make the first steps.

In some ways this is a description of my definition of honesty. To me, honesty is at its purest the sublime form of expression, an integral part of what we find in ourselves. The defining discrepacy here is that I don't need honesty in the performer, I want to find that certain honesty in myself. Following this definition, what I need in the performance is certain space, certain vision, certain ambition. I need my music to reach into all dimensions at once, for it to be so strong I can start seeing myself morphing into the songs themselves.

Now, I was coming for some early Gasparyan hoping I would find something similar to what I feel "I Took Up The Runes" is for Jan Garbarek; an accomplished musician at his best, reaching beyond himself, extending the space around him in ways that must have been unconscious. Must've been, for so remarkable are they. That Garbarek album is amongst my all-time favourites, right there with Peter Gabriel's "Passion" and The Beatles' "Revolver", not to mention the classical sublimes, Rubinstein's "The Chopin Nocturnes", "Preludes" and "Mazurkas", as well as Gould's "Bach: The Art of Fugue", or Pärt's "Alina". These are albums that "contain multitudes"; they are larger than what we can think of them, because whole lives, whole musical strands have been built upon them. They have influenced, just as they have created the whole concept of what it means to be influential by not being overtly self-conscious. Expression because of the need to express, because you cannot no longer contain the feeling in your soul, thus you have to let it out to the world, joining the greater soul.

And of course, then there is the duduk itself. It is a remarkable instrument in my mind, and Gasparyan is a remarkable player. Its sound has all the mournfulness you might expect and wish for, the longing that goes deeper than even the most mournful tenor saxophone could ever go. The depth is amazing, as is the breadth of expression. As for the pieces themselves, these are songs are that have stayed in my ears and on my lips, and I can't think of any greater compliment to a recording artist than saying that listening to this album made me wish to learn to play the instrument myself.

Very, very highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Shockingly, wonderfully human!!!.......2006-08-01

I've hunted for quite some time for music that stir my imagination, my heart & my blood and I've found it in Djivan Gasparyan! I would go so far as to classify this as properly 'gothic' if for no other reason than the force at which it pulls on my heartstrings. It's wonderfully traditional (no cheezy synthesizers or new age pop fluff!) and rather than implying the cultural blend of 'world music' it remains incredibly loyal to the region from which it came and paints an amazing picture in one's head of that place. This was my 1st purchase of his work and now I'm going to purchase the rest of it because of this! If you want to really 'feel' then I'd strongly recommend this!

    Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars LOVE IN ANY LANGUAGE.......2006-12-26

I bought this CD for the song "Love Is Spoken Here" which was sung at my father's funeral, to celebrate his life and love of music, especially Church music. Our soloist was a friend whose voice warmed our breaking hearts. But when I saw that I could also get the Mormon Tabernacle Choir version along with many other beautiful American songs, I ordered this. I highly recommend MTC if you are seeking choir music to lift your spirit.
