Lillo Thomas never received the kind of mainstream success he richly deserved. His smooth and evocative singing style and phrasing bear strong resemblances to both Smokey Robinson and Eddie Kendricks. If you are a fan of 1980s R&B you really should buy this compilation if you can find it.

i use to listen to Lillo Thomas back in the day&He worked with the same Producer that Freddie Jackson did."Sexy Girl" was the cut. there are some smooth cuts here&there.He is a Cat that is kinda forgotten.very talented Artist.

This collection is missing his best slow jam ever "Show Me". Otherwise it is the perfect collection . If you like the production sounds of Kashif, Paul Laurence, and Timmy Allen, then you absolutely have to add this to your collection. Lillo is a good singing talent. It's too bad the record industry is too focused on signing and promoting young boy band groups and doesn't put out quality anymore.

Like Freddy Jackson and Paul Laurence, Lillo Thomas emerged in the early '80's with a distinct vocal style. Steeped in R & B tradition, this album pulls together some of Lillo more popular works and is a must buy for all soul fans. Lillo had an illustrious career spanning 10 years with such hits as Sweet Surrender, Down Town, Who Do Think You Are? Settle Down and many others. Lillo also participated in several collaborations with established artists like Melba Moore and Freddy Jackson. He collaborated with his erstwhile producer and friend Paul Laurence over several albums with Paul himself featuring both Lillo and Freddy on his album "Underexposed."

Hi, this isn't a review, it's more of a request. I would like to know if anyone would be able to provide me with the track listings for this particular Lillo album. I'm trying to compare the difference between this album and the other 'Best of Lillo Thomas' album that's listed.

I am so thankful that Amazon.com can get access to these hard-to-find artists! Lillo's music put me in so many positive moods I couln't name them all! I won a dance contest off of "you're a good girl", cause that was one of my favorites cuts! That CD would be put away in my special stack. There are quite a few excellent cuts that fans should go down memory lane about from the 80's. BUT LILLO DEFINITELY HAD IT GOING ON!
