This album,released in early 1980,spawned one Top 20 hit which is the title track. Ray Parker Jr.,under contract with Arista Records was scoring at least one hit every year between 1978 and 1985. That includes his biggest hit to date,GHOSTBUSTERS from the 1984 Columbia film of the same title. Detroit-born Parker is one of the most talented R&B musicians on earth,as I mentioned in my review for his 1993 GREATEST HITS album. Needless to say,if Parker had an identical twin,there would be times where he'd be "TWO PLACES AT THE SAME TIME"! The other songs are funkily great. According to rayparkerjr.com,there are plans in the works to re-issue Parker's albums on CD in America. No R&B fan should be without this album.

For Those Who REALLY Like To Groove!.......2004-06-04

Once upon a time Ray Parker Jr. had a kickin' funk band called Raydio who dropped two ultra-groovalistic funk LP's in the
late 70's.By this (their third release) they'd become Ray Parker
Jr. AND Raydio,a seemingly drastic shift in priorities!Strange because this set couldn't have less to do with Parker-his scathing guitar,swaggering vocals and catchy songwriting have
smimmied out the window as the band flex their groove muscles
on "It's Time To Party Now","Everybody Makes Mistakes","Until The Morning Comes" and the instrumental "For Those Who Like To Groove".Only two songs really remind me of Ray Parker like
"Can't Keep From Crying" whitch could've come off of the 1979
"Rock On!" LP and "Tonight's The Night",an updated synth-funker
with Herbie Hancock (it also appears on Hancock's 1981 album
'Magic Windows-worth buying) and presents a direction this ENTIRE
album should've taken.Sadly this album contains a little filler
as "A Little Bit Of You" and the snoozville title song are not
very memorable at all.Raydio recorded four albums and three of them are five stars all the way,but on this record Raydio seem
to be loosing steam.It proves that Ray Parker was always the brains and body behind the group wheras songwriting went.But
the bands tight,solid musicianship,whitch is alot like The Time's
sound at certain points,are more then enough to carry this
excellent album!

Some really good tracks on this - picked mine up for 50p in a secondhand store - mint vinyl! one of my luckiest finds. Soem ace gutiar licks by ray , but each track is produced well and effect is grooving - not bland like a lot from this era. Reminds me of g-funk instrumental parts. ...

Detroit funksters Raydio stormed R&B billboard lists with this album in 1980.
Very uplifting tracks 'It's time to party now', 'Until the morning comes', Herbie Hancock helped them to compose slow-groove 'Tonight's the night' and especially Cameo & P-Funk inspired 'For those who like to groove'.
Slow-jams are simply Raydio style such as the title song, beatiful 'Cant keep from cryin','A little bit of you'...
I've been listening to this album over and over without any reluctance since I grabbed.This album is extremely rare and hard to find,therefore most of the music stores import this from Japan.
If you find this album by chance, you must be the luckiest person in the world!Don't miss out.
Ray Master & Jerry The Knight of Funk and other members(Carmichael Bros.) are outstanding! Lets put the Detroit groove on your mind!

got this tape a long time ago.it was the last all out Funk Set by Ray Parker Jr before He went mad pop.Ray Parker Jr is a Very Talented Multi-Instrumentalist but after this set He just went Pop wild.still on this Set the Vocals were cool&the Grooves were strong especially by the Parliament Funkadelic Inspired "For Those Who Like To Groove".
