The A-Side track "Snow ((Hey Oh))" is a great song. In my opinion, "Snow" is one of the best songs on the double-disc album. The B-Sides are also great. And when I say "great" I mean they are better than a few of the A-Side cuts that landed on the actual album.

If I would have been in charge of selecting tracks for "Stadium Arcadium", I would have placed both these songs on the album (and I would not have chosen "Make You Feel Better" or "If").

"Funny Face" and "I'll Be Your Domino" are better than "Make You Feel Better" and "If".

By the way, everything the Chilies create is GOLD. Buy it you silly goose!

Great a-side, not so great b-sides........2006-12-22

"Snow (Hey Oh)" is the third single from "Stadium Arcadium". One of the strongest songs from the album, Warner Bros. chose to release the single in two parts-- the first with one b-side, the second with two.

The title track itself really is one of the great Chili Peppers pieces-- featuring a delicate, speed picked guitar line and a loping, deeply grooved bassline on the verses and a driven, almost forceful chorus, it also has the pleasure of finding vocalist Anthony Kiedis in his best form, setting up a fine mood and a pretty, delicate melody that stands up on its own with no difficulty.

This single features two b-sides-- the first, "Funny Face", sinks into an unusual (for the Chili Peppers) reggae groove for it's verses before moving into a bizarre, wah-driven chorus. The second, "I'll Be Your Domino", is more standard chili Peppers fare-- interlocking funk bass and guitar and a rolling drum groove provide a platform for Anthony Kiedis' funk styled vocals. Both pieces are decent enough, but the real truth is that it's clear why both were left off the album.

It really is a shame that such a strong A-side would feature such an unengaging pair of b-sides (the other single for "Snow" doesn't really do any better). All but the real diehards can probably avoid this.

You can't say that this song isn't slammin! I've had this song on my mp3 player for a year, and I listen to it when I go to the gym. Holla!

SOLID mixes..from hip hop to house.......2005-08-21

This is one of the best set of remixes on an import CD single I've gotten in a while. There isn't a single mix I don't like. You get the original version, and two hip hop mixes with funky rhythms, and two groovin house mixes, one of which is a dub of the other. Track times:
