Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Real Southern Soul.......2007-07-27

During the mid sixties there was no greater sound in the Carolinas than Bobby Moore and the Rythmn Aces. I saw Bobby Moore at ART"S SEASIDE ( a small beach side club near Charleston SC that also featured groups like the TAMS. This was Southern Soul in its finest hour. Searching For My Love and Try My love Again are the big hits.
While most of the songs are listenable, non reach the heights of these two hits.

5 out of 5 stars Bobby Moore, a soulful giant and a true gentleman..........2006-02-20

I had the pleasure of working with Bobby Moore and the Rhythm Aces from time to time in the early 1970's in and around Montgomery, Alabama. He and his son Larry, singer Marion Sledge and the rest of the band gave me an education in live performing that became part of the foundation of my career in music.
His passing in February, 2006 is a great loss to the music world and he will be missed, but his music lives on. "The Hamburger Song" is a very early form of rap (although that's not what we called it when we performed it live back then). It was just a fun, different kind of song which was a big favorite and always got requested whenever I played with the band or enjoyed them as a member of the audience. "Searching For My Love" sounds as good today as it did the first time I heard it. God speed, Bobby Moore. Thanks for the music you gave us.
