I like the music on this CD and Tata's voice is beautiful. Why does it cost over 30.00 though? I bought mine for a reasonable 12.00. Good sound and you will enjoy her melodic riffs.

I was 6 years old when this album was released! My mother would play this album really loud and we would sing it around the house. When I became old enough to work the record player myself, I would sneak and listen to the songs over and over. Now the album is long gone, and it has been years since I have heard these songs, but they have remained in my heart. I have been looking for Totally Tata on CD for years and I am so happy to see that it has finally been released. I will be purchasing one for me and one for my mother. The entire album is beatuful and I think it can still have the power to touch people like it did me so many years ago... especially "Come in Heaven, Earth is Calling" and "Blame it on the Sun."

I own this on vinyl and I'm ecstatic that it has finally been released on CD. I totally concur with the other reviews in that Motown and others are doing the public a terrible disservice when they opt to be selective in what is remastered and released on CD and DVD. We would ALL like to preserve our history which means something different for each of us. It's not something you can sit behind a desk and decide; you must get out amongst the people.

TOTALLY TATA is a nice start for soul fans who love/collect TATA VEGA, but why won't Motown re-issue her other several amazing, long OUT OF PRINT albums also released on TAMLA during the 70s, like TRY MY LOVE, FULL SPEED AHEAD, and more?! If you've only heard TATA raise the roof on the COLOR PURPLE sountrack, you're only hearing half the story - TATA is a national treasure and deserves to be re-released on CD for posterity - c'mon Motown, how about doing a ltd. edition series of TATA CDs on Hip-O Select?!
