Packs into 5 CD's a sampling of Broadway tunes from the 20's thru (almost) today, mostly from original cast recordings. Includes not just well-known hits, but also some lesser-known gems. Sound quality is first rate, booklet is informative too. Have given this as a gift to several friends with rave reviews.

Top Shelf.......2007-01-04

This is THE definitive collection of Broadway hits. I have other collections, and none of them measure up. A great deal of care was obviously taken in compiling and presenting this box set. It covers a lot of ground, starting with some long-forgotten but still very enjoyable hits from the days of yore, and finishing with present-day favorites. To the best of my knowledge, the recordings are by those who made them famous. You won't be disappointed.

Sweat Is Still Delivering The Goods.......2006-12-29

After delivering his excllent self titled disc two years prior , Keith Sweat returned with Still in the Game. Sweat is still capable of making decent records a decade into his career. He knows the secret of a good slow-groove album: seduction on the most intimate of levels and this is apparent on the tracks In Your Eyes,Rumors and Can We Make Love. Sweat also throws a cool sexuality in his grooves and moves. And on the opening "Come and Get with Me," Sweat (with a little help from Snoop Dogg) spins R&B hip-hop into a wondrous orbit.

Keith Sweat- Still in the Game (1998, Elektra).......2002-09-05

After his self-entitled album, Keith made another above-average album with some very memorable songs with the likes of "Bring it On", "Rumors", "What Goes Around" & especially the memorable "Just Another Day". After 1998 & 1999, those were the final good years left in R&B music. Now, there's not much great or original to look forward to in that area of music. Like Keith's other albums before this, it's worth having or checking out.

(...) I like this Cd BUT! It is not as good as "Get Up" and K.S. I must confess I listen mostly to Rock (Metallica, GnR, Classic Rock) but for dates with my girlfriend this (stuff) works!

SWOSS the new Dirty South king of FL.......2000-10-22

"Still In Da' Game" is SWOSS's second CD. This is the follow up to his first independent release "All I Know" produced by legendary DJ Fury on his own Full Moon Records, Inc. out of the Daytona Beach, FL area.

SWOSS first CD was an underground hit, so this one is sure to follow nation wide! SWOSS's sophomore release here is also produced by DJ Fury, but with the nation wide distribution backing them up now, who know's what can happen!

"Still In Da' Game" is sure to please any fan of not only southern rap, but rap period. This CD is laced with crisp, bass heavy tone's that are so popular in the south, and the release stay's true to that Y2K sound and formula. SWOSS's lyrical delivery is a refreshing one as well. A minimal amount of flossing is featured on here, but more story tellin' and coming from the heart on this street savvy release.

SWOSS also has a few guest appearances from the whole Full Moon Record roster, so it stay's fresh the whole 74 minutes through!

So if you a fan of artist's like Trick Daddy, JT Money, 8 Ball & MJG, UGK, Nelly, Ja Rule or 3-6 Mafia you need to pick this one up! This release is hot!

I love this release as much as his first one, so pick this joint up too y'all, it's OFF THE CHAIN!

Hinderas's catholic approach to the century's music allows her to delight the Chopin-Ravel-Joplin continuum (wide though it is) of listeners with R. Nathaniel Dett's impressionistic, ragtimey "In the Bottoms." The nuanced jumpiness, replete with dissonant shades, of William Grant Still's "Three Visions" recalls Ives here and Ellington there. What's most challenging here is the works from 1953 to 1969, featuring Pulitzer Prize winner George Walker's study of harmonic intervals in his Sonata No. 1 and Talib Rasul-Hakim's shimmering "Sound-Gone." There are tone-row studies (Arthur Cunningham) and Stockhausen-esque electronics (Olly Wilson), but what stands out most is Hinderas's unflappable perfection regardless of the musical elements. Whether razor-sharp or dancingly playful, Hinderas executes with a largely vibrato-free touch, forcing the ear to focus on her solid chordal touch. --Andrew Bartlett
