About the Artist
Smooth Vocals and an ecclectic sound, are what characterize Anthony Prieto's debut release.

Like many R&B vocalists, Anthony came about his musical foundation while growing up in the diverse ethnic neighborhoods of Southern California, as well as in the church, where he honed his skills early on. In his 15 years of performance experience he has worked with such acts as, Tierra, Malo, Big Mountain, 2nd to None, Kid Frost, A Lighter Shade of Brown, Chulo, Proper Dos, Hispanic MC and Mellow Man to name a few.

Together with the writer/producer team of Carlos Guillen and Javier Gutierrez, Anthony has embarked on a musical conglomeration that has effectively blended R&B, Pop and Latin influences.

When asked about what makes Anthony the artist he is today he replies "My kids inspire me to continue to sing. They need to see their father as a positive role model"

His debut release is certain to attract a wide audience. Whether you're cruising down the boulevard, snuggling up to your love or shaking your thing on the dance floor, you are guaranteed to find something you like.

I recently saw Anthony Prieto live in concert at the world Famous "Rumba Room" Nightclub at the Universal Citywalk Hollywood and he sang a few songs off his new CD. The songs, "Hot Summer Nights" , "Cruisin" and the remake of the Motels's "Only The Lonely". He tore up the stage with a dynamic performance. This singer is on his way to the top! Local area artist-Good CD........2001-01-21

This album was really good. I would have to say the album hit "Stay" is very catchy and the other songs definitely have great rhythm. Overall, Anthony Prieto's album should be in everyones CD collection.

Old School.......2000-08-12

This album took me back to the old school. The way music is supposed to be played. I thought the songs and lyrics on this recording was truly from the artists heart. He sounds a little like Smokey Robinson. "Stay" is the heart and soul of this album. For all you old school fools, you have to pick up this bomb CD.
