Scrumptdillyumptious *****1/2

Scrumptdillyumptious is a tasty collection of toe-tapping, sing-a-long pop tunes by Las Vegas songwriting tandem Jayme Jack and Dwight David....

Product Description
An experience through the American experience. Funny and sometimes tragic. Songs that make us more human than the next person. A four piece producing a unique blend of pop sensibility flavoured with funky rhythms and ponderous misty-eyed melodies, twisting into hooks of ethereal daydream pop. Viagra enhanced.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars The Desert Blooms in Original Music.......2000-07-12

When one thinks of Vegas the usual imagery that comes to mindis Lounge Music, Gawdy dressed entertainers, slot machines, WayneNewton, cocktail waitresses with those short skirts and tourists with fanny packs. Glad to say that the Melancholics are changing this monicker. Upon receiving their CD in one of the free shows I attended this summer in Las Vegas I was very content and happy that the future of Vegas is going to be cool. The First cut off the CD Scrumptdillyumptious is indeed a proper opener. Feeling Funkydory encapsules emotions of being happy. When desperation hits and the whole world seems against you there is nothing else to do but be happy or else they will drag you down. The song SPAM is one of the funniest songs I have ever heard in my whole life. It is an ode to the industrial meat of Gen-Xers. 2 Crows also stands out as a great piece! You have to get this CD all the material is great. As I said the future of Vegas is bright and witty as long as the Melancholics keep making great songs!
