5 out of 5 stars Great Period Music.......2002-08-15

I have to defend my choice by saying that it's all about immersing yourself in the appropriate time period. You're not going to like this stuff if your intention is to compare music from the 1910's to music from the 80's or 90's. If you do that, then yes, of course the production values are going to seem out of whack. However, if you have the imagination to transport yourself back to the WWI era, you might actually enjoy a few of these gems. I personally love the music on these CDs and I'm pretty sure that I'm well under a century old. If you're researching the entertainment industry around the turn of the century, here's a great place to start. My personal favorites are the two recordings by Nat Willis.

its not too bad...if you are over 100 or dont mind listening to songs that were hits during the spanish- american war and WWI! Maybe your grandma would like it, though...
