Absolutely Love Hoku!.......2005-11-03
I bought Hoku's CD years ago. I didn't even know who she was but I was young and pretty much bought any CD. I am now almost 18, and I still listen to her CD repeatedly. I know every word to every song. I noticed that someone reviewed her song " Another Dumb Blonde" with bad feedback. That person does not know music. Hoku's music is about love and how a girl can overcome a guy. Then she has a song about someone being there for her always, through thick and thin. "You Frist Believed" Is my all-time favorite. Its a touching song and reminded me of someone I know. If I had one last wish before I died, it would be to meet Hoku and her father, Don Ho. She is incredibly beautiful, and very talented. I have done kareoke many times, and most of which I was singing her songs. I am, without a doubt, Hoku's number 1 fan!!!! I love you Hoku!!!!!

Another dumb song.......2002-10-20
I don't understand what people see in this song. It doesn't even sound like she's TRYING to sing on here. All she's doing in talking (in a bored tone of voice) in the same melody of the music. I'd even listen to Truth Hurts over this.

This simple cassette with just two trakcs: the title track and karaoke version prove that this so-called "Dumb Blonde" is truly a very intelligent young woman. With good morals, strong vocals, and a great image free of belly rings, Hoku will charm you with her girl next door image and diva in training voice....

This is just another simple, upbeat, catchy, dance pop song from another teen, blonde, female, pop star. Think again! This song is awesome! And Hoku is hot!
This is not so Great.......2000-05-19
Well I recently got htis CD in the mail. When I saw the Another Dumb Blonde video on TV I thought the song was OK. Well I figured it only costs about 3 or 4 bucks so why not buy the single. Big Mistake! I would have to say that this CD is one of the worst I own. Hoku is nothing like Britney Spears or Mandy Moore. Her style is a cheap throw off of the Pop stars we all love. Although this CD is very inexpensive, it is not worth the money. This is in no way a good buy.

Hoku is one of the most incredible singers to hit the music biz and this single proves it. Her stunning vocals in "Another Dumb Blonde" showcase what an incredible amount of talent the 18 year old daughter of Don Ho truly is. The emotional ballad "To Myself" has helped me through hard times and good times, the remixes are seriously kickin' and the cover art is great, it captures Hoku's youth and innocense perfectly. I am such a huge fan, that, with a little help from my e-pal Jordan, I have started a hoku webpage I think is well worth your time. Please check it out if your unsure of your purchase. Hoku: A Fresh Talent.......2001-04-16
Hoku is perhaps the best new female artist. I've supported her since her debut two winters ago and will continue to for the rest of my life. While her voice is not Mariah Carey-esque, she has her own style and tradmarks. She is a far better singer than, for example, Mandy Moore and much prettier than your average girl trying to make it big. Her songs are easy to relate to for any teenage girl and her first single "Another Dumb Blonde" is simply incredible! She has the best album, one of few you can actually listen to without hitting the skip button once. This single is a must for fans because it includes the very rare "To Myself" which everyone needs to hear. It's sweet, touching and just plain great. There are also remixes and a karaoke version. It's perfect for the hard to please pop music fanatic or a Hoku fan!

Despite what many people have said in their reviews, in my opinion Hoku actually has a very commonplace voice, though this is easily overlooked. Her lyrics are very cliche, and the tunes lack originality. The final verdict? Not worth buying.
