Let there be love gets 5 stars from me, it is great song sung by both Liam and Noel in the style of the Beatles. However the B sides don't live up to Oasis' reputation for putting out great tracks on there singles as well as albums.
Don't get me wrong, Track 2 "Sittin' here in silence (on my own) is still a good song, but sadly only runs for about 2 minutes and so much more could have been done with it. Written by Noel, it is very much a Lennon-esque song that deserves to be a B side only
Track 3, a live version of Rock N' Roll Star has been done before, and is no better or worse than other versions getting around.
The B sides get 3 stars each from me. Buy it only if you are a hardcore Oasis fan.

Middle of the road Oasis single.......2006-06-21

"Let There Be Love" is good as ballads go. It has a nice Lennon-esque feel (think "Real Love".) It's also the only true Liam/Noel duet on record. It was better in its earlier incarnation as the Noel-sung b-side "It's a Crime."

The extra tracks,"Sittin' Here in Silence (On My Own)" and "Rock N' Roll" (live) are good filler. Unfortunately, this CD single doesn't stack up to past Oasis singles that had brilliant extra material.

If you're an Oasis fan, buy it. If not, stick with the Don't Believe the Truth album.

"Come on, baby blue...".......2006-04-17

Let There Be Love is the third single released from Oasis's critically acclaimed 2005 album Don't Believe The Truth.

It's a sobering, delightful, and mellow rock single featuring both Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, sharing lead vocals, making it their first duet since Acquiesce.

The album closing mini-epic has a piano playing throughout, and some of Noel's best lyrics: "Who kicks a hole in the sky, so the heavens would cry over me", and "Shake up your tired eyes, the world is waiting for you".

The best part of the song to me personally is when Noel starts his vocal duty with "Come on, baby blue...". Priceless!

Great song.......2005-12-21

This song is a great tune, perhaps the most commercial song on the new Oasis album. It's one of the few Oasis songs ever to feature both Gallagher brothers, Liam sings the first bit then when Noel comes in with the 'Come on Baby Blue' line, it sounds amazing - Noel has never sounded better than on the 'Don't Believe The Truth' album. Buy this single, if not, definitely buy the album - believe that truth!

Not among their best...........2005-12-21

What can I say? I would have never chosen this track as a single for this album.

Traditionally, singles are picked for radioplay and marketability.

"Let There Be Love" is not one of those songs. It's a weak track. Noel should have just left this up to Liam to sing the whole song.

Reccomended for serious Oasis fans only.

Little By Little.......2006-10-27

Little by little is the best song on the album and a good choice for a single. It is up there with Don't Look Back In Anger in my opinion of best Oasis songs. This also features Noel on vocals. This is accompanied by She Is Love as a double A-side single. But the real reason to buy this if you already own the album, is for the studio version of My Generation, a cover of the classic Who song which Oasis regularly closes its concerts with. They have always kept true to the original on any song they cover and this is no different - it ROCKS!!!

Great Single.......2004-04-14

Heathan Chemistry was a great album by Oasis. This third single of the album is another great Oasis song.

Little by Little is a fantastic song. It's one of the top 5 songs off the Heathan Chemistry album and I'd put it their top 20 songs they've ever done. Noel once again puts a lot of emotion and feeling into the song. This is also one of the songs that Noel sings.

She is Love is another good song. I believe Noel wrote this one for his girlfriend, but I'm not 100% sure. If you'd listen to the lyrics it sure does sound like it. Noel also sings this one.

My Generation is a great cover. It's equal to the version sung by The Who. Oasis played this one a lot on their last tour and this is the only place to get it.

This single isn't a required one to get. I have it because I'm obsessed with this band and I think they are the greatest. Unless you collect Oasis like I do there really isn't a reason to pick this album up unless you want My Generation that bad. Go get Heathan Chemistry and enjoy all the songs off it.

really beautiful tunes.......2003-01-05

Little By Little is a song written and performed by Noel Gallagher. It has a beautiful chord arrangement, nice singing style by Noel, and a gorgeous chorus that elevates the entire song into a brilliant rock n roll anthem. Possibly one of Oasis' best songs in the past three years.

She Is Love is another Noel song. This one is a dreamy love song with amazing lyrics and handclaps that come on near the end of the song giving it an edgy feel.

Two beautiful Oasis songs released as A-sides. What more do you ask for?

If you enjoy this, i recommend you purchasing Heathen Chemistry.

The Genius of Noel Gallagher.......2002-12-24

With this single, Noel Gallagher continues to prove he's one of the best songwriters around today. "She Is Love" and "Little By Little" are both great melodies that also show what an undreratted singer he is as well, since he takes the lead from little brother Liam, which gives the songs a more personal feel. The cover of the Who's "My Generation" continues an Oasis trend of never wasting a B-Side, and really makes one wonder why the band isn't bigger here in the U. S.

Third Single off of "Heathen Chemistry" is Just Average.......2002-11-15

After the terrific singles "The Hindu Times" and "Stop Crying Your Heart Out", Oasis really makes a curious choice for its third single of the "Heathen Chemistry" album. This is a so-called "double A-sided" single, with "Little by Little" and "She is Love" being the "double As".

Both "Little by Little" and "She is Love" are Noel-penned and sung, and are average MOR ballads, at best. A much better choice for single IMHO would have been "Born on a Different Cloud", one of the album's best songs (it also would be the first Liam-written song to chart on its own). The redeeming track on this single is Oasis' take on The Who's "My Generation", which has been part of Oasis' live set the past year.

For those that already have the album, no need to buy this single, unless you just can't live without having "My Generation". For those that don't have the album, don't buy this single but buy the album instead!

It doesn't get better than this folks.. here's what is in store for you when you purchase this 3 track treat:

1)Who Feels Love? Answer - who doesn't feel love? after listening to this? Our boys from Manchester get a little experimental here, and score a big hit in my book. Some backwards guitar here, some bongos there, and killer overdubbed vocals make for a can't go wrong, soon to be "Greatest Hit" track you don't want to miss.

2)One Way Road - Noel kicks out another rediculously good B-side, and it's heart achingly right on the money, it's that good. "I wanna get high, but I never could take the pain, cos it would blow away my soul like a hurricane." Oh man, sing it to me brother, sing it! This is Noel Gallagher's best vocal track out there.

3)Helter Skelter - The perfect ending, a Beatles tune with loads of attitude, that completely rocks. I saw them perform this one live, in Milwaukee (which is on the Familiar to Millions set), and you can hear me bellering it out in the background. What can I say, Noel singing the Beatles. I'm a very happy man!

I own each and every Oasis single put out, and this is right towards the top of the list. If nothing else, buy this for One Way Road! Ya shan't regret it.

"Who feels Love"- a great late 60's influenced psychedelic track which is quite outstanding. The B-side, is a decent song as well. "Helter Skelter"- nice Beatles cover, oasis does a fairly good job of covering this classic White Album track. Plus its got the music video of "who feels love" on the disc.

Outstanding New Oasis!.......2000-06-03

This new oasis is fantastic. Who would ever of thought 3 years ago that bongo drums would enter a oasis song! This is the best oasis for a long time, Noel Gallagher has really written a song that has so much meaning and love surrounding it. And finally people cant say it sound just like there last hit! One way road and Helterskelter could not be better b-sides. Both sung by Noel they are fantastic and One Way Road was the most anticipated Oasis B-Side for a long time and its really lived up to the hype. Its fantastic as well as the 5 mins Helterskelter. If you buy a Oasis Single, Get this one! Its Great!

Oasis deliver another incredible b-side with "One Way Road".......2000-05-17

As I was listening to the brilliant "One Way Road" for the first time, it REALLY got me thinking more than ever as to why is Noel Gallagher using some of his greatest songs for b-sides instead of on the actual albums? Granted, Noel has been doing this all along, but it's particularly ironic now with Noel having been so fixed on the idea of re-inventing the band that he ends up using "One Way Road" as a non-album b-side. Perhaps Noel felt "One Way Road" didn't fit in well with the flow of the album "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants". But of all the tracks on the album, and of all its respective b-sides so far, "One Way Road" (as well as "Let's All Make Believe", yet again a b-side, though it is featured in certain versions of the "...Giants" album) definitely ranks among the most innovative to my ears--THIS, to me, is the sound of Oasis moving into new & exciting territory. "One Way Road" is a dreamy & transcendant psychedelic soft rock tune with a soaring chorus & vocal from Noel Gallagher; I'd even give it the edge over the slightly flawed but mostly great title track. On this single we also get an Oasis-ized version of "Helter Skelter" that's a lot of fun & has exciting vocals from Noel (though it does run on too long, but that's a very minor complaint). In the end, yet another spledid Oasis single.

(P.S. As a bonus, it's also an enhanced CD, featuring the video for the title track.)

This single is fantastic. If you are a Mad4it, you need this cd. The multimedia clip is great. "Who Feels Love" is a great video, the best since DÝou Know What I Mean. GO FOR IT!

Crash Couture is likely the least "indie" album we have received in our existence that introduces itself to us without a proper label. With octopus-ink slick production (thanks to one Joe Chiccarelli, of U2, Hole, etc.. note) and and album filled with songs begging to fill the FM airwaves, I would describe Careen's latest effort as an album set to sell (or "sail") the band high on the mainstream market.

Equipped with a bio dropping names like Foo Fighters and and Fountains of Wayne, that is exactly the crowd (and a huge demographic of album buyers) I expect Crash Couture to grasp. With a full range of the pop/rock formula - from relationship anthems ("Who Loves You", "Tragedy") right up to full force guitar/keyboard/bang on the drum burners like album opener "Lights" - you have every choice to mold the proper inception of Careen from the get go.

With thoughtful lyrics in tow (I think I know how many "rock!" bands would choose to follow the line "no more Christmas out of luck", and it's not with "it's time to suck it up".), Careen have obviously set their sights on a bigger listening crowd.
