Very disappointing, considering what it could have been.......2007-04-20
Take a look at the running times:
Disc 1: 60 minutes
Disc 2: 50 minutes
Disc 3: 61 minutes
Disc 4: 58 minutes
What gives Silva? There is *MUCH* more John Williams in the silva screen back catalogue by the Prague Philharmonic than what is in this set, and thats not including their entire discs devoted to Star Wars Films, Indiana Jones Trilogy etc. Why isn't Hook "When You're Alone" included on Disc 2? There's room. Why isn't 1941 on Disc 1? There's room. Why isn't Earthquake on Disc 3? There's room. Why isn't Far and Away on disc 4? There's room. Where's the other ten minutes of the Rare Breed suite on disc 3? Why isn't Midway on disc 1? Where are the Land of the Giants, Time Tunnel and Lots In Space tv themes? Etc. Etc. Etc.
C'mon Silva, most of these 4 disc mega boxes released in the past few years are packed to the brim, but not this one, and with new recordings made after this was released (the terminal, munich, geisha, war of the worlds, star wars ep 3, harry potter 3), it only makes sense for a "re-do" in the next couple of years.
Further, with Silva releasing the 100 Greatest Film Themes on six discs in a couple of months, it's only a matter of time before we see the ultimate six disc john williams set.
This isn't a BAD set to own, but it could have been much better and when compared to the Jerry Goldsmith and John Barry sets in this same series, this one is a major letdown.
Always a pleaser.......2007-03-31
I listen to music all day with patients in my dental chair. This one is a winner with everyone. Patients always comment on how they recognize a song. Who doesn't love John Williams? His music transcends time.
JOHN WILLIAMS 40 Years of Film Music.......2007-01-10
This 4 cd pack is an anthology of all John Williams works. From his earlier works "The Poseidon Adventure" and "Jaws" right through "Indiana Jones" and the most recent"Star Wars" prequel movies are included. Williams work in thriller and horror are also included. If you are into soundtracks and love movie music this is an essential buy. The quality of the music is excellent. With ten or more tracks on each cd it's well worth the money.
Movie Music Magic & Memorabilia.......2006-12-13
This four CD set expands on the previously released John Williams Greatest Hits. It's a grand collection of nearly four hours of famous music scores from over forty years. There are many songs never before available in any collection. The short liner notes tell a great tale of musical movie history and include all of his numerous award nominations and wins. Each song (oddly enough) mentions the actors and the director, so fond are John Williams's memories of his work with these people. All of the conductors are mentioned along with specific orchestras, choirs, arrangement and orchestration specialists and even the publishers (contractual, I am sure). The only things missing are his early television scores, such as those for "Lost In Space" (by Johnny Williams back then). But with four discs, one has nothing to complain about and everything to enjoy!
John Williams: 40 Years of Outstanding Film Music.......2006-11-28
I have been a huge fan of John Williams and I have known about his music for years. However, I never actually bought any of his music on CD. I was rather skeptical about purchasing this CD but when it arrived I knew I had made the right choice. The sound quality of the compilation is outstanding. The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra do a great job under the direction of Paul Bateman. The original London Symphony Orchestra CDs of John Williams' Star Wars Trilogy CDs are marginally better but this is still a great CD compilation. If you love ET, Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Harry Potter, you will love this compilation soundtrack. Buy it, listen to these CDs in the car and enjoy every minute of the collection!!!

In adapting Chris Van Allsburg's beloved, 1986 Caldecott Medal winning children's Christmas fable, director Robert Zemeckis fused the technologies of live-action motion capture and CGI to an unprecedented degree, producing a visual sensibility that perfectly embodies the netherworld between fantasy and reality that made the book so inviting. Musically, Zemeckis has shrewdly teamed longtime collaborator Alan Silvestri with hit tunesmith Glen Ballard for the original half his soundtrack, then given the rest over to a star-packed tribute to pop Christmas past that includes such timeless chestnuts as Bing Crosby's "White Christmas," "Winter Wonderland" by the Andrew Sisters and Perry Como's "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas." But the Silvestri/Ballard originals here are the main event, from Tom Hanks' vigorous vocal mugging on the title track and "Hot Chocolate" through the innocent charm of "When Christmas Comes to Town" and the over-the-top, jumpin' jive of Steven Tyler's "Rockin' On Top of the World." Josh Groban's "Believe" overdoes the treacle, but Silvestri's rich choral workouts and underscore suite are grand Hollywood-scaled tributes to the spirit of the season. Also available in a deluxe, illustrated children's book format gift edition that includes an actual encased jingle bell embedded in the cover. --Jerry McCulley

Excellent! First Rate.......2007-04-11
We give it a strong 5 stars. Young and old alike will love this movie. Nothing in it is offensive, and it has a great message of hope.
Polar Express is hot.......2007-04-11
I am 57 yet I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and as a result bought the soundtrack. It plays in my Subaru's CD and has songs that remind me of childhood, songs that are fun, and others that make me want to move to the beat. It takes you through the movie and I find myself recalling little scenes from the movie. It was an outstanding performance by Tom Hanks and he puts just the right amount of train conductor and wise sage in the cuts he does on this soundtrack. I am glad I bought it.

Customer Reviews:
lovely music, but . . . . ........2007-07-03
No one doubts that Bach's music is beautiful, and so many of the pieces in this album, favorites of his second wife, are lovely. Here are my objection. First of all, nowhere on the outside of this CD does this indicate that these are only *highlights* of the Anna Magdelena notebook. Furthermore, many of the tracks (from French Suites #1 & #2, from the Well-Tempered Clavier, from the Goldberg Variations) are pieces I already own in high quality recording by virtuosi. This CD does not limit itself, say, to pieces that Bach composed originally for this collection; in other words, there is nothing scholarly about the pieces that were chosen for these highlights. Rather, it is essentially selling a "Bach's Greatest Hits" kind of CD under a more respectable name. For those whose classical collections consist primarily of "Greatest Hits" collections of various composers, you might as well toss in this CD. For the discriminating collector, though, interested in collecting serious works by Bach, this CD is entirely unworthy.
Anna Magdalena Notebook-- a treasure trove of Baroque music.......2006-03-20
This is music for contemplating number and time and not realize you are doing that. These pieces from Anna Magdalena Bach's notebook are a significant part of the history of western culture, and the music is brilliant, lucid, and passionate. Just as, I suppose, Bach's wife was. Played on harpsichord and clavichord, the work-- not all by Bach-- seems rigourously, mysteriously modern, and the anonymous "Musette in A Major" one could even say had in it the roots of ragtime piano. Last but not least, it's quite possible that Lorraine Hunt Lieberson can never be less than sublime.
Music for Bach's Katy.......2005-03-31
Luther had his Katy who supported him and the Reformation magnificently and faithfully. Bach who was real student and follower of Luther's, had his second wife, Anna Magdalena who was so much for him and his family and music.
Here great notebook of the music she enjoyed immensely so we can as well.
Especially fond of harpsichord music, this has marvelous selection of that, but fond of Rondeau in B-flat major. Minuet in G major is one of my favorites. New to me are the Arias, especially "Bist du bei mir" and ""Ich habe genug". If you're not conversant in German, do go on the website the liner notes provides and get the translation in English for these are marvelous testimonies of their faith in words and song.
Charming and beautiful.......2004-12-13
This CD is a collection of music from the notebook of Bach's wife, who was a singer. It includes dances, arias and other favorite songs. Most of the pieces range from peppy little dance tunes(like Musette in A Major) to delicate baroque airs (like Prelude no.1), all played on the harpsichord, clavichord or cello. The pieces that really stand out are the arias, sung beautifully by Lorraine Hunt Lieberson in German. Most are religious, but there is one that is a nice love song "Willst du mein Herz mir schenken." The website on the back of the liner notes has the lyrics for the arias and they are worth reading. Besides the fact that this is good music, it also provides interesting insight into Bach's life and family and the liner notes have some interesting information about Anna and her notebook. This is a charming collection of music that is a great and cheap addition to any classical music collection.
Bach's wifes' collection of her favorite pieces.......2001-06-10
Yes Music of JS Bach chosen by his wife who was a singer. This collection is a lovely and beautifully performed collection of harpicord and intimate pieces that were Anna's most cherished favorites composed by her husband. What a lovely addition to any chamber music lovers collection. It affords not only wonderful selections but a rare window into the behind the scenes aspect of Bachs life and the commanding role music played in his and his family's life. The performances range from delicate to sublime and are beautifully recorded. It is an amazing bargin to have such an esoteric collection of Bachs' work so well done and so cheap. My god run and get the whole series; I have and when I want a perfect day I just pile them in my CD and press the forward button. The result is a day of glorious music on a scale to be both background as well as a breathtakingly elegant listening experience.

It's ironic that electronica's forefathers include two German bands whom, at least on the surface, were polar opposites. On the one hand, there was Can--shaggy, Stockhausen-trained advocates of trance improvisation--and on the other, Kraftwerk: clean-cut control freaks and masters of the pristine machine groove. Yet, even at their most robotic, Kraftwerk manages to locate the soul of the machine, as they demonstrate throughout this 1977 outing. Hell, the mannequin manifesto "Showroom Dummies" alone is worth the price of admission. For a band so closely tied to technology, it's a testament to Ralf and Florain that their music continues to sound fresh more than two decades down the autobahn. --Bill Forman
Customer Reviews:
Slightly less repetitious and dull as it is edgy and seductive.......2007-04-25
3 1/2
It's good, quite good for Kraftwerk's body of werk, of course appreciated infinitely more in it's proper context, though I always felt these rightful legends were more producers then artists. These grandfathers of electronic music indeed pioneered the euro-techno-minimalist template to an astounding degree, though they seemed, as is with many innovative musical groups, to often eclipse substance with style. What some consider their finest disc, certainly may be a solid piece of the coldly melodic kraftmenship fans have come to expect, but usually remains pretentiously detached for an unfamiliar crowd. Most of a short run time is spent on the purposely restrictive but calculatedly executed beats, melodies and vocals in an enticing enough way that makes the album a worthy visit now and again, but hardly merits frenzied devotion.
Proto-electronica.......2007-04-16
The seminal work that influenced all of the pop-rock music of the 80's, and the ambient music movement of the 90's and beyond. An important milestone in electronic music.
Really good.......2007-03-24
Kraftwerk is a good ensemble. I say ensemble for lack of a better term. Anyway, this album is great. Start to finish good. One must listen the whole way through without skipping around to truly appreciate how good it is. Their other albums, particularly man machine and computer world, while both excellent can get boring. But in this case, you don't have to worry. I haven't gotten bored yet, and even after the glamor of the whole object has been lost, I can still return to individual tracks for pure joy. Just lie down on the floor, throw it on, and relax. Cool.
Another one to add to your collection........2007-02-22
Not all Kraftwerk albums are worthy of purchase, but this one is. Careful when a CD has multiple songs with same title. That usually means the creativity has given way to duplication. Not here. So, this should be added to your colletion.
Through a Glass Electronically.......2007-01-19
I've listened to quite a few Kraftwerk albums since college friends introduced me to this talented and innovative group back in the early '90's, but somehow I'd missed out on "Trans-Europe Express" until this last Christmas. This is really excellent electronic music, possibly one of Kraftwerk's best efforts. Sometimes it seems that their sense of musicality and melody and such gets just a bit swamped by their fascination with mechanical and computerized sound, and sometimes this makes some of their pieces seem to drag just a bit on the verge of monotony--never completely, but a tad too close for comfort. They have deftly dodged this minor glitch in this album, though, even with the wonderfully harsh, mechanistic "Metal on Metal" to say nothing of the beautifully transcendental "Endless Endless" or the disturbingly surreal "Hall of Mirrors." On a humorous note, "Showroom Dummies" inevitably evoked for me the classic Doctor Who villains known as the Autons (aggressively colonizing beings who inhabit plastic mannequins and attack earth, starting with our shopping malls) but I suspect this was unintentional on Kraftwerk's part. In any case, I think this may well be the most approachable album for those newly wishing to explore Kraftwerk's work, but old explorers like myself will undoubtedly enjoy it as well.

An Auger Classic!.......2007-07-28
Brian Auger's 1973 release 'Closer To It' was the record that finally introduced him to a U.S. audience and ultimately broke his career open based on the success of the AOR airplay that quickly moved him across the board from the rock charts to jazz and R&B. Barely known outside his home in Great Britain until this release, Auger had performed in a series of highly-talented aggregations(including one that featured mod rocker Rod Stewart); moving gradually from the hip underground European jazz scene into the major league headlights with his most commercial package to date. After a few key personnel shuffles, the band lineup finally solidified with Jack Mills on guitar, bassist Barry Dean and a tightly-knit rhythm section comprised of Godfrey Maclean on drums and Lennox Laington on congas and additional percussion. Multi-talented lead vocalist and musician Alex Ligertwood had been on board for some of Brian's prior works but in this instance; Auger ended up doing yeoman's work on lead vocals himself and his unique style fit perfectly into the 'mix'. Always feeling most comfortable in a working band setting; Auger produced his best sounds here; fronting a driving rhythm section with some beefy Hammond organ and various keyboards coupled with a crack progressive rock guitar/bass frontline. His energetic cover of Marvin Gaye's 'Inner City Blues' still sounds fresh today and the rest of the album virtually set the prototype for today's acid-jazz style with it's eclectic mixture of jazz, rock, funk and hip-bop. The standout track "Happiness Is Just Around The Bend" was eventually covered by American R&B sensations 'The Main Ingredient'; also providing Brian with another chart credit(both acts were, at the time, signed to the RCA label). What's most amazing though; about this record, is that it truly became a major groundbreaking effort at the time when it was originally released - but it almost wasn't released. Marketing departments back then often preferred going in a proven direction as opposed to releasing something more on the cutting edge and frequently tried to dissuade an artist from going forward. But fortunately, the radio programming scene back then was far less compartmentalized than what it is today and this disc benefitted from a more wide-open range of consumer taste in a period of time where predominantly instrumental music wasn't typically viewed(at least, not by record labels)as commercially viable except in strict jazz circles. When the listening audience responded; not only with their ears, but also with their wallets; suddenly the 'suits' began to 'get with it'!! So this record truly 'crossed over' numerous musical boundaries in a way not often seen then, or even now. The sheer energy of these musical performances(most of them were 'live studio takes' as opposed to carefully constructed tracks with complementary overdubs)becomes apparent when listening to the set. It has that 'up-front' feel that is characteristic of zesty, jazz-inspired music yet it's never overbearing; with the musicians all maintaining a tight, cohesive blend. My brother and I listened to this one so often; we ended up going thru two copies on vinyl(and I bought a third copy when we split our record collection some years later - as well as the cassette tape version; which I listened to regularly while on the road during the years I traveled as a sound engineer). Now, we both own it on CD also, and it remains one of our all-time favorites! On a side note - there are currently two versions of the reissued CD available - the one that has the British released liner notes and cover graphics that comes in an expanded version(it has some alternate tracks included) - and a recently re-packaged U.S. version that features the stateside album graphics(with the blue 'express train' cover illustration)and a similar set of alternate tracks. I've checked out both versions and the first six tracks are the same program that the original album was, with a couple of unreleased(but saved)takes and an edited (45 single)version of 'Inner City Blues' tacked on. And for all of you high-fidelity audio performance types - this is one of those albums that just sounds better and better the more you turn up the volume; so be prepared to upgrade your hardware if you haven't already done so - you'll enjoy this the most when it's right 'in your face'!!
A blast from the past.......2007-03-28
After trying several times previously to purchase this CD, only to find it sold out, I am glad I finally have it. I remember this well from the 70s (as a vinyl LP), before we used the term "fusion" very extensively to describe music that is a mixture of rock and jazz.
This CD is a good blend of musical forms--primarily rock and jazz, good vocals, with a little R&B thrown in, and then stirred. Enjoy.
funky all the time.......2007-01-03
Brian Auger let himself in this one to take his funk etitude to the top. he bland it with some latin rock and bluse influenses and the result is somthing thet you will listen to over and over agein. buy it now.

Unless you're a serious student of classic soul music, the name Bettye LaVette might not mean much. Smarten up. On her first domestic album in more than 20 years, the middle-aged singer with Detroit roots offers a strong, raspy, go-for-broke vocal style that locks onto lyrics by original Robert Cray producer Dennis Walker like a death grip. Indeed, the highly emotional tone in her voice taps deep reservoirs of experience. Savor, in particular, the love-gone-cold ballad "Thru the Winter" and a tuneful manifesto for strong women titled "Close as I'll Get to Heaven. Unfortunately, some of the songs run a bit long, with padded arrangements and blowzy, overbalanced playing from a few of the West Coast studio players (but not her faithful keyboardist Rudy Robinson). LaVette's outlay of emotion just may be too rough and demonstrative for some listeners, but it's their loss. --Frank-John Hadley
Customer Reviews:
Fantastic 12.......2006-11-10
This has got to be one of Bettye's best releases. It is very seldom I like every track on a disc. There isn't one song I'm not happy with. Of course, I do have a few favorites: Forecast, Serves Him Right, and When the Blues Catch Up With You...WOW!
Betty LaVette is all that and a bag of chips........2006-08-27
I was lloking at Blues Divas, and heard this little bitty women rocking, "It serves him right". I had never heard of her, but am glad that I tuned in to hear her blow. You don't hear voices like hers anymore. We continue to hear what I call the screaming me mes, Mariah, Janet, etc. This wpman can truly sing. If you have never heard this songstress sing, you haven't heard the blues. If you are feeling low, she will make you feel that she understands your pain. Give a sister a listen as this sister can truly sing. Yea.
Best Yet.For Bettye Lavette.......2005-10-23
This is this best recorded work yet by this veteran artist.Check out the track "Thru the Winter". This gives me goose bumps every time I hear it Most of the songs on the CD were written especially for Bettye by the producer Dennis Walker and they are a perfect fit This album simply oozes SOUL and. I'm so happy that after almost 40 years of recording Bettye is finally getting the recognition she deserves.
Soulful Blues.......2004-01-17
If you like to listen to blues with lost of electric guitar and a woman with a beautiful soulful voice singing the lyrics. Then you'll probably rate this album 5 stars.
A little bit less of the electric guitar would have been my preference, hence the 4 stars.
Nevertheless, this is a great album.
Most of the songs were (co)written by Dennis Walker who also worked with Robert Cray. A version of Right Next Door is on this disc I haven't been able to make a dicision yet as to which version I like best.
The songs all have their own caracter. You won't get bored feeling they all sound alike.
One last comment, the album is called: A Woman Like Me
Flat Out Fantastic.......2003-02-28
If you have wondered where the great voices have gone, get a hold of this CD and wonder no more. Bettye LaVette sounds better than ever and the years have only served to give her greater command of what has always been a great set of pipes. Her voice is a magical mix of silk and sandpaper that grabs you and hits you deeply. The arrangements and productions are top notch, with nothing superfluous, and they serve as the perfect setting for the stunning vocals.
This is not a "soul" CD. This is not an "R&B" CD. This is a simply a GREAT CD.

Amazon.com essential recording
There are many, many Andrew Lloyd Webber albums out there, including cut-and-paste compilations and songbooks from individual artists, most notably Sarah Brightman, Michael Crawford, and even Jose Carreras. The Premiere Collection is probably as authentic as you can get in a hits album, however. In addition to the most popular selections from the original casts of Evita, Cats, and Jesus Christ Superstar, the 57-minute album includes two selections from Tell Me on a Sunday (also recorded by Bernadette Peters as Song and Dance), the title tune from Starlight Express, the "Pie Jesu" from the Requiem, and a snippet from the Paganini Variations, thereby allowing you to hear the good stuff without having to spring for the complete albums. Note that the three selections from Phantom of the Opera are the 1986 pop singles instead of the cast recordings, meaning Steve Harley rather than Crawford sings with Brightman on the title tune and Cliff Richard subs for Steve Barton on "All I Ask of You." (Crawford does sing "The Music of the Night," of course.) This 1989 compilation was too early for Aspects of Love or Sunset Boulevard, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is ignored, but these omissions are rectified in the follow-up album The Premiere Collection Encore, and the American-slanted version, The Very Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber: The Broadway Collection. --David Horiuchi

Musical Pleasure.......2007-07-03
I enjoy all of this music, listening frequently. Some not original cast members, so less than 5 star. Product exactly as advertised.
The Premiere Collection.......2007-01-17
My sister had this and it got destroyed. She wanted an other, This was the only place I have found it!! Very hard to find! I have been to every music store in my area. She loved it!! And was so happy to have it again. Anyone who loves Andrew Lloyd Webber will love this. As it has many songs from some of his most famous plays with the original cast. Great item.
beautiful.......2006-12-21
This CD is a great compilation of some of Andrew Lloyd Webber's hits. If you are just looking for a "quick fix" for your Broadway craving, this is a great value.
Fair Album with 1 starlight and 0 aspects.......2004-07-09
I think this album is F-A-I-R because it has one starlight express song and zero aspects of love songs. This is why i liked the album The reason i said that this is a fair album is that I like Starlight Express better. Song i like are "The Phantom of the Opera", "Take That Look off Your Face", All I Ask of You", "Don't Cry For Me Argentina", "Mr. Mistofflees," "Superstar," "Memory", "Starlight Express", "Tell Me On A Sunday", "Music of the Night", "Another Suitcase in Another Hall", and "I Don't Know How To Love Him". I dislike the following songs:" Track 6" and the last one because the last one was hard to understand and track 6 is instrumental.
Superb collection.......2003-08-11
... It is a collection of the best of ALW's creative efforts, and a collection of great performances. Anyone who loves "Broadway" should have this disk in their collection.

Gorgeous soundtrack.......2006-07-17
Though the movie is from the 20th Century, the soundtrack is modern synthesized with lush orchestration. Stands on its own in the 21st C.
Giorgio the Great.......2006-04-13
I got this on LP then on cassette tape and finally on cd. I'll keep all of them. Giorgio has his own style of music scoring very passionate and powerful. When I saw the movie in the 70's not only the movie was so intense but the music as well. Of course the "chase" really stands out. This cd is a rare but gem one of the best soundtrack ever made. The movie and music match.
'Chase' is worth the price of admission.......2005-11-02
And it's not even the version used in the film (actually only 2 or so minutes of the theme is used). But it's the best Turkish Prison Trance-Disco you'll ever hear!
Years later, Giorgio's heavy-synth treatments on "Love Theme" feel leaden, and I guess that's his ex-girlfriend singing on the final cut, which you can just program into oblivion. Giorgio, in my humble opinion, crafted the Donna Summer brand of electro-disco from having lived in germany alonsgide those techogeniuses Kraftwerk in the early 70s--and we got "Love to Love You Baby" and "Spring Affair" - which were great! A lot of filler on this commercialized disc from Casablanca, who were hawking disco at the time as if it were meth (oops, guess it was).
Chase is classic, though. Too bad not enough discotheques in the US played it. May have saved the genre from being turned into ubiquitous 'dance music.'
R.I.P. Brad Davis.
Disco album to Turkish prison classic.......2005-07-25
Yes, as has been mentioned, this is not the same music you hear in the film, but slightly different arrangements desiged to be sold as an album. Like Cat People, the disc has some gems that differ greatly from the originals but still make it worthwhile.
Don't know why they don't release more music, but what's here is a must for the Moroder fan. Chase is the main draw, absolutely genius tune that was somehow written into a film about a guy being beaten in a Turkish prison.
Chase is still remixed today, that disco-Kraftwerk feel, the trance-like rhythm, the masterfully cheesy keyboards. Moroder was on top of his game for the next few years, cranking up his drum machine and using the fattest synths.
Far more uplifting than the film, it's the best ever soundtrack to a story about life in a Turkish prison, complete with random beatings, madness, and much more than the viewer would care to know.
It is 100% correct - this is NOT the music used in the film.......2004-11-30
the music from the soundrack AS USED IN the film is far, far more atmospheric and interesting, but sadly this film came out during the height of the disco boom '78 and the soundtrack released by (Casablanca? who were at the forefront of the disco roadshow) reflected the way they thought the record would sell. Giorgio Moroder won the Oscar for his score on this film but the version on the CD is a remixed and revamped version meant for the clubs rather than a true representation of the music contained in the film - It would probably be financially ridiculous, but wouldnt it be great if there was to be a release of the music as used in the film rater than the fangled remixed version............

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FILM PIANO MUSIC.......2007-04-11
MOST OF THE FILMS FOR WHICH THESE PIANO PIECES WERE WRITTEN ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE, SO WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE THIS WONDERFUL RECORDING. FORGET ABOUT MORE EXPENSIVE VERSIONS. THIS IS THE BEST INTERPRETATION OF THE WARSAW CONCERTO ON THE MARKET!

Classic Movie Pieces.......2003-10-04
I am a pinaist, and several of thses pieces find themselve in my repertoire, and by hearing them on this cd, one is able to truly appreciate the composition and performance of these songs, which are not very popular nowadays. A great collection that I highly recommend to all musicians and music lovers.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.......2003-02-07
If you like light works for piano and orchestra, this is the BEST I have heard. With the popularity of movie themes in this genre, this CD will not disappoint you. There are some great undiscovered gems on this CD. Every pianist should have this to 'expand their horizons'. Simply the best!
