Editorial Reviews
From the Artist
If you are searching for a new kind of band, you may have hit pay dirt. It is packed with videos, music, and a documentary about our band. We want to play songs that matter, that have cool story, that have interesting chords, melodies, and solos. This is a band that has worked hard to be the best musician be can be. Now we have to also be the best at marketting ourselves. We hope you find something interesting in our music. Thanks so much and keep the peace.
Product Description
Continuous Wave is a collection of new rock/pop/jazz songs written by San Francisco singer/songwriter Paul McBurney and performed by the new band PMB. The album was produced by legendary LA studio musician and producer Greg Porée. 1. "Good Day" describes a man who has lost his identity, who fades into being a dog or a frog, who feels invisible, but still finds meaning in life. 2. "Destroyer" describes the son of Godzilla who tries to live up to his fatherâs reputation. 3. The character in "Save You" knows too well the risk of dating, but would risk it all to find the bliss of perfect love. 4. "Deep in the Forest" is a harmonically interesting fable about being lost in the forest. 5. The question about how we can live forever is pondered in "Never Fade Away". 6. We have to question whether "Fabulous Feline" is about a cat or a woman. 7. "Angel" is about the power of a trippy chick who is the daughter of an Army father. 8. "First" questions whether we should and how we can escape our past. 9. There is always something going on with "Sister", the real sister of the band drummer. 10.The lives of a drug dealer and illegal migrant farm worker are contrasted in "Wild West". 11. When love becomes an addiction, separation can be like being in a sensory âDeprivation Tankâ. 12. "Love Is" questions where a relationship is a prison, or whether one is a prisoner trying to avoid one. Give yourself a chance to be taken away not only by the poignant lyrics, but also warm saxophone, walls of guitars, lush organ pads, and funky drum and bass.
