One of the cleanest songs out there.......2004-02-26

Man, when i first heard this song on 97.9 jamz, I was hooked. Everything about the song is tight and Sleepy Brown really set it off. This song is like so diffrent from most songs out now thats what really made it catch my attention. I still cant get over how clean this beat is, its has a cool laid back flow. Sunny Valentine is something serious yall look out for him cause I feel he is going to be real big in the future.Bet Dat.

Move over 50 Cents & Jigga, Sunny Valentine has the album of the year. His first single has Sleepy Brown on it who's on Outkast I Love the Way You Move. Buy it and be one of the first to recognize hip hops next platinum artist.

Mathes' CD a Worthy Debut.......2002-03-14

Jay Mathes' CD, "Leave it all Behind" is a wonderful synthesis of his influences. Yet there are definite overtones of the sometimes gutsy, growly side of Bruce Cockburn in Mathes' voice. This CD brings the listener into Jay's experiences of the world in a subtle yet poignant way. His music deserves multiple listenings in order to fully appreciate both the lyrics and the phrasings of his guitar. His passion for his music shines through in this debut effort.

Like a woven carpet that has an intentional flaw to emphasize that "only God is perfect," I give this 4 stars because this artist will need some room to grow, because he will definitely be moving up!
