Stunning even before I opened the CD case!.......2006-12-08

I bought this and was immediately blown out of the water to find a picture of my former girlfriend Valerie on the cover. Yep, she's there in that audience being held back from rushing Flatulina, and so boldly exercising her right to bare arms. So hello again, Valerie! Good to see you again. And congratulations on your zeal for pressing so forward to feast at least three of your five senses on Flatulina! Congratulations on being so undaunted by any prospect of your nose being assaulted not only by Jack Frost but by any stimuli from Flatulina of a kind that YOU so pride yourself on being presumably exempt from emanating! So what more can I tell you, Valerie sweetkins? I'd wish you a merry Christmas, but what can I add to Flatulina's warm blast of Yuletide cheer? I've never seen anyone who has such a desire as Flatulina does to entertain us and wish us a merry Christmas from the heart of her bottom! I wonder what Flatulina's real name is? I hope it is Holly. In that case, when she does "Deck The Halls", it truly is with bowels of Holly! Some have said that the price of this CD is worth it. And what price would not be worth it, considering how much Flatulina does to relieve inflation throughout its tracks? I'm sure that detractors will say that Flatulina isn't on any fast track to winning any Grammys. But let's keep pulling for her! Wouldn't it just blast the detractors away if her music were to surprise everybody by scoring a riveting come-from-behind victory?

It's too bad amazon doesn't have AUDIO CLIPS of this on their site, but you can hear them on her website. It's just flatulina dot com. I got this gift for a friend and he honestly had to stop the CD and catch his breath because he was laughing so hard he couldn't breathe. That really happened. Many people think farts are funny, but they don't all admit it. You can find out who really does by playing this music.

fun surprises on enhanced content.......2003-10-23

I totally agree with the long review below. And I also wanted to mention that there are 2 hidden "easter eggs" on the enhanced content of this CD as well. This is a GEM! Very fun.

This CD has so many different types of humor, it goes far beyond f-a-r-t humor. First of all, the music is very well orchestrated, musically. Most of the songs have orchestral music beds with farts and singing fish as the special featured sound.

1. Sleigh Ride - hilarious. f-a-r-t sounds panned left and right at different times, actual melodies, and the over all orchestration is obviously skilled. If it's possible to make fart music proper and elegant, this has succeeded.

2. Jingle Bells 3. Deck the Halls and 4. We Wish You a Merry Christmas are all what I personally consider the "trilogy" of the more up front fart songs. They are so funny, and cute, not disgusting. To the point, concise, succinct.

5. Flatulina's Nutcracker Suite Medley is one of the most brilliant pieces of fart music in existence. Honestly, fart sounds aside, it's a pretty well done arrangement. But then when you add the comic element, it really has a type of genius to it. Seriously.

6. Dance of the Reed Pipes - I personally do not understand why this piece is lacking in fart sounds, it features the fish choir which is cute. But it doesn't make me giggle constantly like the other songs. Maybe this is supposed to be the palate cleanser.

7. Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy: THE HIT SONG OF THIS PROJECT!! When there is that moment of silence and then you hear the little tiny "fish fart", I love that moment.

8. Flatulina's Holiday Dance Mix: very funny. I think this would have been even funnier if the dance mix were more hard core industrial, but still it's a nice refreshing break from the classical spin on the rest of the CD.

9. Auld Lang Syne: I love love love the purposely cheesy drum sounds on this one. Funny in a whole new hip to be square kind of way. Love this.

10. Mystery bonus track which I will not give away, but it's the best song on here.

THEN WE GET VIDEO!! Pop this baby into your CD-ROM drive and enter the gorgeous world of Flatulina. She is quite the charmer and has as much wit as she does gas. The thing I love about the video is how straight they play it. The conversation never goes to fart humor, yet she just keeps ripping farts the whole time while taking her music and her "celebrity" status very seriously. There are 11 video clips in all, along with a couple of pdfs for your reading pleasure. Some of the video clips are named "Behind the flatomusic" and others are "F! True Fabulous Story", and there is a music video to the holiday dance mix song. The music video is obviously low budget, but very entertaining.

And the best part is, there is nothing raunchy or sexual in content. No bad language. You could leave your kids alone with this CD and not worry. It's safer than cable TV! And navigating the enhanced area is easy enough for a child also.

If you like Spinal Tap or any of the mock doc movies, you will love the enhanced content.

I believe it is only a matter of time before Flatulina has a cult following. Her website has tons of fun content [the artist portion] and the back story of the character is so cleverly done.

YOU MUST GET THIS GEM! It is worth every penny. You will laugh and enjoy this for a long time.

This CD is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites! It's perfect for holiday fun and festivities, and provides a party atmosphere any other time of the year as well. I'm especially impressed with the superior production techniques used to accompany a diverse fish choir. The overall musicality expressed on this recording is unbelievable. Flatulina is an artist of many talents and her stunning creativity is obviously the driving force of the project. Flatulina's Fabulous Holiday Spectacular is quickly becoming a "must-have" for all CD collections!
