Album Description

For more than 20 years, Matt and Sherry McPherson have been involved in writing music and leading worship. They penned some of these songs for a specific purpose, and others were inspired while going through difficult and trying times. Their ultimate goal is to draw hurting hearts to the feet of God for healing, refuge, and strength.

These songs create a unique blend of styles - ranging from modern pop,old style funk, acoustic roots, orchestrated traditional to simplistic and power ballads. This variety can be used in many different styles of church worship, thereby encouraging wide participation.

Don't judge the book by its cover these guys know how to ROCK!!!
They're like a gospel Pat Benatar with a 21st century dance beat. Buy this cd and take it your next Christian party, noone will be disappointed. My only complaint is that it needs a bit more bass, or maybe its just my tinnie pc speakers.

Accessible Worship.......2005-08-30

This is an excellent release of original worship and praise music from this talented husband and wife team. Matt happens to be the designer and maker of the increasingly popular McPherson acoustic guitar - which is much in evidence on this recording. The songs which fit in the broad middle road of contemporary worship are extremely listenable and easily adaptable for congregational use. My copy included a CD of pdf file lead sheets etc which were very useful and we now sing two of the songs on a regular basis in our worship service. Sherry's voice is reminiscent of Stormie Omartian and rides with ease above the accomplished and well arranged tracks.
Standouts are "Sing Hallelujah" and "Victory in the House" from a congregational standpoint but perhaps the highlight of the whole CD is a song entitled "Salvation prayer" which has been getting some exposure through christian Radio outlets.
This a great investment if the tastes in your family cover quite a range because this talented duo sit comfortably astride the broad beam of contemporary christian music.
