Lamar James Born James Lamar Brown in Augusta, Georgia August 17, 1968. He grew up in the small town of Bowersville, Georgia where he began his music career, singing in a gospel group with his three sisters.
Lamar has had his songs critiqued in a song writing class taught by Don Moen of Integrity Music. The songs received the highest ratings and response in the class. He has sung, led and directed many groups that have opened for Ron Kenoly, Al Denson and many others in their genre of music. Lamar has traveled and sung nationally & internationally.
His debut single "A Sovereign Move" acquired rave reviews at the 2003 Central South Retail Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia from all who heard, and particularly from the New Artist Showcase judges Sanchez Harley, Mark Harris (Pinnacle Records), Andrelle Perry (ABC Radio), Neely Dickerson and others............
