About the Artist
The SHADOW MASTERS group was officially formed in early 1999. Prior to that time we had worked over the years in music separately and together as Disc Jockeys and music mix specialist. We decided to join forces in 1999 and formed our own production company and record label.The mutual respect and trust that we have developed over the years bodes well for our future projects which include further developing of ourselves as well as others.

This is an excellent album for an excellent cause. Most tracks do justice to the original (though very different). This verision also includes the superior a-ha version of #9 Dream.

Recommended from one of my friends, i was instantly in love with this band!!! The jazzy melodies and sweet trumpet solos' keep you on your feet! All these songs include lots of styles of music so ANYONE will want this CD! I unfortunately haven't been able to see them live but im sure it would be an unforgettable experience!!

Salt Peanuts, Salt Peanuts!.......2004-05-23

I have had the pleasure of watching and meeting Liquid Soul at the Ogden Theater in Denver, CO. They put on one of the best shows and really kept the crowd hyped. Excellent versitility in fusing Jazz, Funk and Rap. The horns section would do the Horny Horns proud. If you ever get the chance to see the Liquid Soul in concert, make it priority! You won't be disappointed.

Excellent, Funky, Danceable Acid Jazz.......2003-08-07

I happily discovered this album by accident at the Borders in Chicago back in the summer of '98 and it has since become one of the more favorite offbeat albums in my collection. The music is at once funky, energetic, bouncy, and plain out fun. "Salty Peanuts/Chocolate Covered Nut" and "Cabbage Roll" are both upbeat and fun songs that show that rhyming (adequately handled by the Dirty MF on MC duty) can go quite well with a jazzy beat. There are also some great slowed down R&Bish tracks like "I Want You To Want Me", which is probably the best track on the album. Overall, this is a unique sound that any jazz fan should enjoy.

Danceable... And Excellent!.......2003-04-19

All jazz should be measured by it's "dancebility," it's move to make you get up and dance around the room. And this CD makes you want to dance; the jazz is excellent and very solid. Very recommended, you will very much enjoy it.

Children's music that adults will really like.......2005-09-15

In my former youthful life, I was a huge fan of the band Muckafurgason, an extremely witty, clever, funny and talented indie band that played the downtown NYC circuit from 1994-2002. You can imagine how excited I was when I learned that two of the members, Andy and Chris, were recording a children's album as The Quiet Ones. Just released, "Make Some Noise" is an awesome alternative to mainstream children's music like the Wiggles or Barney.

Andy told me that when he had his daughter Cecily three years ago, it was hard for him to find music for her that didn't drive him up the wall so he and Mucka bandmate Chris wrote some songs that were aimed at kids but wouldn't offend parents. When I asked him who their influences were, he politely said, "BAD kids music and good grown-up music."

What sets The Quiet Ones apart from typical children's music is that they're not condescending and preachy (like Barney). Andy says, "We don't feel the need for every song to have an educational/moralistic message. Not that we're against that, and we do a little bit of it in passing. But the emphasis is more on fun and fueling kids' imaginations."

With titles like Magic Banana, You Can't Hide Your Bike, How Fast Can You Run? and Invisible Trousers, you get an idea of the humor and appeal of their songs.
