Seven years on..........2007-05-07

Entirely possible that 50 years from now, when the ephemera of fadish beats and tunelessness has been flushed, the Maggies will be revered. I would put them in the same genre as The Connells, a little less plaintiff, a little more attitude. Evolved into Philip Price solo and Winterpills... worth hearing, but the group chemistry is missed as usual. Maybe with a less revolting cover more folks might have heard this.

This is a great pop band from my town, and they are wonderful people who make great music. I would encourage any guitar pop fan to check them out.

Power POP is back!.......2000-05-20

If you're looking for a great CD to purchase, look no futher! This CD is new and refreshing from begining to end. Nothing too complicated here, just great music. I could honestly tell you that I do not have a favorite track on the CD because they all are great. Give me The Posies straight up with a twist of R.E.M., great tunes with great harmonies. Also, a great CD to pick up is "Homesick" by this same great band. I am fortunate to live in the same area as these guys because they are great live as well. What more do you need to hear? Buy the cd's and check them out!

I can't stop humming these songs all day and night. This album is more catching than Asian flu, and a lot more enjoyable. Seriously, buy both albums. After you've heard Cryptic Valentine you'll be starving for more of The Maggies' infectious tunes. Don't be caught short!
